The monitor itself is excellent , picture quality for the price is outstanding. The accessories I am not so keen on the shade is very flimsy although have not used it yet. The hot shoe adapter though is totally useless, impossible to keep the monitor upright or from moving. I bought another on Amazon for just under £7 and it's rock steady, they could easily move the price point up by £5 and not lose customers , at least they would be happy. I bought the plate adapter to use my Canon batteries with it too seems very flimsy. Who uses Sony 970 batteries now anyway, they were for very old model video cameras and some lighting units. Archaic.

Fantastic monitor for the price!High level of focus assist which is what I need!There is a slight judder when 1080i HD-SDI is input but I’m happy with that compromise. We use this unit on our Blackmagic camera, the input does not like different frame rates of anything that’s not 1080p, even a 4K input is can’t adapt to display anything at all.

This is an excellent 7 inch field monitor for the price. I use it on my CSC video rig for shooting wildlife video and it has performed brilliantly. The sun screen is easy to fit and essential for outdoor shooting. I use sony large capacity batteries and find I get many hours shooting from each. Excellent and highly recommended kit.

I am disappointed with the deviceI received an device which does not even power onI bought the battery and plug in in press the power button several time nothing happenedI took the manual read it to make sure that I am not doing something wrongchange the battery same issueI wonder if they test the device before they sent it to the customerI was really excited when saw the device for the first but unfortunately for me I have to return a device which does not work

I'm not qualified to make a propper review on camera monitors. With that said, I like this one. It's plenty bright, has a ton of features (anamorphic stretch, false color, focus peeking, histogram yadda yadda).

Excellent value for money ! I purchased two :)
