Aromatic, smooth and delicious. Affordably priced, too.
This is fabulous coffee. It is USDA certified organic. The beans are bursting with the most wonderful smell and taste. It is considered medium roast. We grind ours a little coarser and make filtered coffee. It has a very smooth aftertaste. It has enough caffeine content to jump start my mornings and does not seem overly acidic to me. I love the freshness of grinding coffee beans. It just adds another layer of enjoyment to a nice cup of coffee. This Amazon Fresh whole bean coffee checks every box for me - plus it is very affordable. We love it at my house and hope it works out just as well for you.

Updated 3/23/2018: This is now offered on subscribe & save, and now my life is complete 😍I looooove this coffee! I just started drinking coffee a couple months ago and became very picking, very quickly. I will preface this with the fact that I do not drink hot coffee because no matter what, it always tastes bitter to me. I ice my coffee until it's colder than Indiana in January (ugh), sugar before the ice, and a splash of milk to make it look like it'll stain my teeth a little less than drinking it black. I got a really great deal on a Keurig that sat on my counter for about six months before I bought a sample pack of coffee shop k-cups from the store. I really liked the coffee shop coffee, but wanted to try different k-cups to see what I liked the best. After going through a package of 36 and feeling horrible about throwing all that plastic in the trash (I'm an avid recycler, so it killed me a little inside), I decided on a stainless steel reusable k-cup (thanks, Amazon!) and wanted to grind my own beans. Before my coffee grinder and k-cup filters arrived (thanks, Amazon!), I was off to the store to get myself some Starbucks mocha something-or-another. It tasted like chocolate, but it was too much. I liked the hint of chocolate that I got from the coffee shop coffee I had tried first, but this starbucks nastiness tasted very fake. So, I was on a mission to find the best coffee that had notes of chocolate, and a coffee that wasn't bitter. I found Kicking Horse Smart Ass coffee beans (medium roast) and was IN LOOOOOOVE. Oh my good gravy, it was good. The price tag was not good. I went through a bag of beans in 11 days and had to order more. In the grand scheme of things, it's not THAT expensive, but I couldn't justify buying it as frequently as I was. I tried a couple other coffees from Amazon that were just okay, and then found this Amazon Fresh Peru Coffee. Life just got so much better. I swear this is the same exact stuff. The flavor is the exact same, it's fair trade and organic, just like Kicking Horse, and the price is unbeatable! The only thing that would make it better is if was offered on subscribe and save!! I'd buy it every month and wouldn't even feel bad about it.

Surprisingly Comparable to a Coffeehouse Roast for a Pourover
We have a gourmet coffee club at our office where we bring in fancy roasts and do pourovers via Chemex or Moccamaster and we get all bourgie and critique the coffees. We also have a Philips grind and brew for everyone who just wants a cup and for that, I usually buy medium roast beans in bulk from Costco. Anyhow, we were out of coffee and I couldn't get a large enough order to justify a Costco business order, so I looked on Amazon for something decent but inexpensive. Hence, I landed on this bean. The other day, out of curiosity, I threw this in the Moccamaster and thought it was actually better than some of the local fresh roast. Light citric on top and noticeable sweetness o of lighter side of medium. I actually came on here to buy more and noticed that the price had gone up by more than $1 for the 12oz bag. Still a good deal and find.

Coffe
Good scent and acceptable quality. The taste is nice, but I expected a little more strength and flavor. It's a good coffee, but it didn't become one of my favorites

I'd buy again, i dont need super fancy coffee, i often add sugar and creamer, but i can also drink this black, so it looks and tastes good quality.
