This collection is packed full of patterns for all different types of baby items. I would like to knit well over half of them as they are easy, original and attractive items for both boys and girls. It's a super buy that will be of use for a long time.

Basic patterns, nothing outstanding but good beginners book

I have knitted a few of the items in this book, ready for my new grandchild. The patterns are easy to follow and many are easy to knit. With the number of patterns available in the book, I'll be knitting for a while yet.

recieved the book very quickly, lovely patterns, but Im unable to make many of them as they are knitted on a round needle, something that I havent done. Had I have known this, I wouldnt have ordered the book. Im sure I can pass it on to someone, but was disappointed.

Unusual patterns. Want to knit them all. As it is an American book instructions a bit confusing so beware. Ok for experienced knitters but maybe not for beginners. Specific wool not widely available. I have found one supplier so far

A lovely book with lots of patterns for ages from 3 months up. All patterns come with bigger size instructions too. Got a lot of knitting to get through. Certainly good value for money

The patterns look lovely But they are indecipherable, full of charts, diagrams and Americanisms My friend, an experienced knitter of many years agreed with me that we would have to rewrite the instructions for ourselves before being able to proceed Tese are certainly not quick knits

Cute, edgy, colourful, updated baby knits. Originally bought for the fisherman’s pullover pattern. But fell in love with almost every pattern.

Nur leider sind manche Hüte und Schuhe nur für eine Größe angegeben. Die meisten Anziehsachen sind für mehrere Größen (wenn auch nicht bei allen Modellen dieselben) als Anleitung vorhanden. Insgesamt ist es eine schöne Auswahl an Vorschlägen mit süßen Ideen (Schafhut), nur hätte ich mir die Anleitungen immer für mehrere Größen gewünscht. So muss man selbst umrechnen. Verwendet wird ausschließlich die im Titel angegebene Wolle, die aber auch über deutsche Online-Shops erhältlich ist zu vernünftigen Preisen. Sicher kann man auch die Wolle ersetzen, mit kleiner Interetrecherche.

There are number of really cute and wearable patterns for baby boys, girls, and "wait and see when the baby is born" in this well-photographed book. Whether a TKGA Master Knitter or a beginner who just learned garter stitch, this book contains patterns the fiberista will enjoy using. Patterns range from the multiple-skein to the single, so the knitter with months to spare before the baby is born and the knitter who just found out yesterday that the little darling has arrived can use this book to make a delightful knitted present. Even better, the patterns offer a range of sizes for the true procrastinators who start a project when an office mate's pregnancy is announced, but know they won't finish until the baby is toddling about. While the book might seem to be limited, because all of the patterns are knit with Cascade 220 yarn, a savvy knitter, armed with wraps per inch information and some good gauge swatches can substitute yarns of the same weight (so she can knit the worsted merino/cashmere/silk blend yarn heirloom for her Precious, if she wishes), including handspun. Cascade 220, however, is a great inexpensive workhorse yarn in zillions of colorways, including tweeds (barber poled yarns) and "paints" (variegated yarns) that is carried by most LYS (if you don't know what "LYS" stands for, you are not a knitter). Note: If you choose to substitute Cascade 220 Superwash, be aware it is a slightly lighter weight and adjust your knitting accordingly. All in all, this is a good "go-to" baby knitting pattern book. If you only want one baby book in your knitting library, this is a good choice.
