I love this little thing. I have tested it and it works wonderfully. I got it for a family member who loses everything. I like that it has the alert if you get too far from the item. This would be great for big events when you are scared someone is going to steal your stuff. It's a feature that I didn't really consider when purchasing, but I now realize has a lot of potential. Now, hopefully this family member doesn't lose their phone....

Badically useless, it always says it has disconnected so when I do misplace my keys this thing is never useable!

This color 3s and the NutFind 3 are a gift from the heavens for people who put things down and then forget where exactly they left them. The first setup went great, very easy and then after about 3 months I noticed that I couldn't keep them all connected at the same time and then they wouldn't connect at all for any reason. So after emails to customer service which I really must say was great! my3S and my other two Nutfind 3 are finally staying connected. After all was said and done I truly believe it was the app and not any hardware at fault. I kind of have a feeling that an update went awry and messed up things. But for the last month or so all my Nut 3 have been connected and have stayed connected. Customer service really is great, they do care about their customers and what we think. This is one company that has not forgotten where it's paycheck comes from, unique in this world.

What a wonderful product! It is extremely accurate on location. I always inadvertently leave my seat cushion behind when I leave my office at work and it always reminds me I don't have it by the time I make to the elevator. Perfect! I love that you can set an alarm quiet time, which works great if I leave my desk with my phone during work it won't alarm until it's time to go home.

Everyone's needs are different. If you don't mind a record on your phone of when and where you connected and disconnected from the phone, this might be a nice little item finder, especially for the price. Its not very loud and seems to have an OK bluetooth range - nothing to write home about. It is very easy to pair up but it wasn't immediately clear what all the settings were for and the documentation was fairly sparse. I didn't use it long enough to be able to comment on battery life - but that seems to be a concern when considering this as an option. The biggest drawback for me was no way to turn off recording my location. I was hoping for a simple, bluetooth connected, gadget that I could attach to my phone and ring when they got lost. I don't want it in the background pulling GPS coordinates and recording them. I am not comfortable with that level of privacy sharing and it drains the battery. A simple option that would allow me to disable location recording would have saved the day. I tried to turn off the app permission for location services, but then the nut got upset and just said it couldn't find the nut. It doesn't even put the location info behind a password protected page. Even big brother Google allows me to turn off my location history with their servers.The reminder when your phone and the nut get separated is a nice feature you can enable as well.For the price, its worth a shot if you don't mind recording location data and are willing to keep an eye on the battery.

The unit we got is finicky and disconnects itself whenever it wants. Doesn't seem to work half the time. Don't know if it's a lemon or if there is a bluetooth problem. Instructions are very skimpy and leave a lot to be desired.

Perfect for someone (like me) who always has to go back for the cellphone, and searches for the keys. Highly recommend.
