Very nice TRP notebook!
This isn’t the original Tomoe River paper but it is still beautiful to write on. Fountain pen ink behaves as expected and shows off shimmers and duochromes beautifully. Slight ghosting on the paper but hasn’t had any bleed through with any inks that I use. It is true to size. Paper is smooth and thin like other papers of the same type and the grid is easy to see but not so dark that it is really obvious. Once I go through the notebook I’ll buy another if they are still around.

Excellent - will buy again
I had heard of Tomoe River but put off trying it, as I was happy with other brands. I found this notebook for a reasonable price and bought it. I'm really impressed. No fathering or bleed-through. Smooth but with a bit of tooth. It's really nice and I will buy it again. They say it isn't as good as it used to be but I can't see how it could be much better.

It's a win!
Love at first sight! Tomoe River paper never disappoint! My old Parker fountain pen glides through it like butter on glass! I'm writing lots of notes and need something that's compact, does it job well, no bleeding, looks exceptionally great with my flowy handwriting styles, and also light to carry around! This notebook does everything I look for! Love it!

Good notebook
Ok, I like this notebook. The paper feels similar in texture as the Hobonichi 48 page A5 notebook ( I haven't tested my pens on it yet though.) I prefer the dot grid to the gridded lines, personally, although the closer spacing of the grids on the Hobonichi is nice since I write pretty small. The main reason I bought this notebook is that it has 80 sheets in one notebook, rather than 24 sheets per notebook that the Hobonichi A5 notebook has, at half the price per page. Additionally, since I plan to use this as a daily/weekly agenda and use only one side of the page, 24 sheets is not enough to last a year. The thickness of this notebook is also a big plus; It is about the same thickness as the 46 sheet SimplyGenius dotgrid notebooks that I have been using, so I know that if will fit just fine into my planner case where Ive been keeping those, without making my planner case too thick. The cover of the book is textured cardstock, and not as slick or stiff as the Hobonichi or SimplyGenius notebooks, and the corner is square rather than rounded. For the value of the paper though, I can live with that. The book is going to live in a planner case so it won't see too much rough handling, so I'm pretty sure the cover should last as long as it needs to.

The paper is truly heaven to touch!
The Paper is softer than a Japanese planner I use that has the same kind of paper- yet still not as soft and beautiful to write on as this journal. That shocked me! The paper is heaven! Enjoy

Great quality paper
As expected from Tomoe River. However, I just got this to test pens with. I find actually journaling on this annoying. It is too smooth.

Little ghosting, no bleedthrough
This Tomoe River paper is lovely. Thin and lightweight, smooth yet no bleedthrough when using fountain inks and calligraphy markers. Will buy again.

Wonderful for fountain pens
Heard this was great for testing out inks and I’m impressed so far.

Teuer, aber toll
Tolles Papier. Vor allem, wenn man mit Füller schreibt. Leider sehr overpriced.

EXCELLENT, JE RECOMMANDE ! ✏️
Excellent.
