It works as it should
I had some old non-working PCs that I had scavenged laptops from, so I bought this to see if I could recover family photos, paperwork, etc. It works very well, and it’s very simple. It’s plug and play. It was easier than I expected to use. If I can figure it out, so can you.

If you need this tech, this is a great one to buy...
Used this to transfer data to a new PC. I was able to take the drive out of the old PC, put it in this drive reader, and copy all the data from the old PC to the new PC in a short amount of time. Well worth the price!

Works but feels flimsy.
Don't like having the button on the back or how light it feels, but it works fine. Orico tends to make decent products.

Great product & working flawlessly
I needed external & additional storage for backups. I didn’t wanted to spend a lot on external drives, using this option I managed to host large capacity SATA drive (8TB) hooking it via docking has been functioning great and purpose solved….I’m happy!!

Retrieved Old Data
My parents’ PC finally died. It only took 22 years. lol. But there was a lot of data they didn’t want to lose. I took the PC apart, bought this adapter and transferred the data to a USB drive.

Connects drives, beeps loudly, requires pressing a button to power on.
I've got two drives in mine. It seems to work well as far as transferring data. I don't like the fact that after a power failure, I have to manually push the power button to turn it back on. This makes it unsuitable for a situation where you want to have automatic startup. Also, when it makes or loses a USB connection (like if the computer attached reboots), it beeps SOOOO LOUDLY LIKE A SMOKE ALARM and my dog is scared of it. There is no reason for the beep to be that loud. I would not buy this again.
