Wizard: The Ultimate Game of Trump

We have played this almost incessantly since lockdown. It's enormous fun and always exciting. Plenty of subtlety required! Everyone we've introduced it to loves it.

Strongly recommend this game. We play it regularly. It involves mostly strategy but there's always the element of luck. Warning though: Very addictive! We solved our problem of needing at least another person (you have to have 3 to 6 players) and created 2 phantom Wizard players, who receive cards that we don't see but that they play. The phantoms can't play quite like us but it's quite hilarious. Our phantom Wizards get great cards often so we have rather nasty names for each of them ...but adding this element means we can play as a couple.

This game is like contract whist, but with some extra cards that add an interesting twist without causing too much randomness. (If you want a really crazy game of this type, you should try another card game called 'Rage'.) The cards are nicely made and it comes with a small pack of score sheets (though you may wish to make your own in A5 or A4 size). It's a family game that can be enjoyed by all ages, though pre-teens might have difficulty working out how many tricks to bid for, as you have to anticipate what cards other players might have. Highly recommended - and it was delivered really quickly.

This game is a firm favourite in our family! It tests your mind but also is unpredictable that adds to the fun and frustration! 😃

This is a great game. Quick to learn. Can last as long or short a time as you want. Doesn't require lots of skill. And the winner can be anyone. Played with friends and family and no one as fallen out yet! Yes I would recommend.

It is the same as nomination whist that I played as a kid at school. There are some 'extra' cards though which adds interest. Played a game with my 12 and 17 year old sons and it held their interest even though the 12 year old was way behind (he just kept trying to thwart his brother's efforts!).

Great game, we all love it (my kids are aged 8 to 14). A good way to learn about trump as a first step towards playing bridge. If only I could win now and then....

Very fun game

Malgré quelques souci de livraison par temps de pluie (le colis est arrivé trempé et la boite un peu abimée), le jeu est intact grâce à l'emballage plastique protégeant les cartes ! De plus Amazon à réagi de manière impeccable ! Wizard est un jeu passionnant auquel nous aimons jouer en famille et qui nous procure toujours de bons moments ! Chaque partie dure environ une heure quelque soit le nombre de participants (nous avons déjà essaye de 3 à 6 joueurs !) Bref je ne peux que recommander ce jeu aux amateurs de jeux de cartes qui cherchent quelque chose de nouveau, vous ne serez pas déçu !
