Great bit of kit for helping fit plasterboard into place. It allows boards to be fitted accurately, easy to use and fit and small, so store nicely, value for money and sturdy. Recommend.

Some pictures of my first messabout with these figuring out the best placement for them I think three would be good but I managed a 6-7board ceiling using 15mm 4by8foot boards on my own quiet easily in 30-35minutes and wasnt trying to break any records😂 placing one in the centre for the width and one around the 160cm mark on the length maybe being made out of metal would be better but so far so good can't argue with the price or the results 🤘

I recently bought it again after having used couple of years back. If you are alone and thinking of putting/replacing the plaster boards in ceiling, these will help a lot. It works exactly like your mate, screw them to existing board or batton and it will hold the next board in one side to allow you putting screw to other side.

Waste of money mate.

Used it to hold both plasterboard and plywood sheets in position prior to final trimming and fixing. It helps a lot, makes the job much easier and faster, buy 2 if you are solo boarding ceiling. They take the weight, keep boards in position and cost less than one damaged plasterboard.

Really good,these stop me from being a human prop,straining as much and freeing a hand to grab some screws and my drill, from my pouch. I'm sure according to Gypsum, thier is supposed to be a 2mm gap between the boards, with self adhesive tape, the boards, when knocked with furniture, to stop cracking. At college, I was taught to use a dry-wall screw on each corner. But I've never see anyone, actually doing this. I would be happier if they made a first and last plaster board wall fixing set to. I have recently used with 6'3s and 8'4 boards, the plastic, at first, I thought would just snap, now I'm grateful, for the flexibility over dodgy joists. Still the screws holes will be the first to go, with wear and tear, shame they are not made tougher, I saved £100 on pound not buying poles, I like the board Jack, try moving that around when you have scaffolding set up. Easy to use, and fast, 28 years of experience in my trade.

If you find yourself unexpectedly working solo they do the job in a pinch. Wouldn't like to use them every day mind

These BoardMates make a two person job obsolete. I have been hanging OSB in my garage with 14' walls. The first 8 feet are okay, but those next boards required a lot of extra work. Having another person made it possible, but when they weren't there, I struggled holding the board up and screwing those first screws. When I saw these, I took the risk and ordered. So glad I did. Simple to use and they secure the OSB or Sheetrock to the wall allowing you to find your tools and install. I abused these, stepping on them, dropping them from height and they took the beating. They are worth the money. If you have a sheeting project approaching, get these!
