Collins Easy Learning Phonics Ages 5-6

I was unsure of how phonics were used, and as I volunteer as a Schoolreader at a local Primary School it was important to have some knowledge of the subject, found it helpful.

This workbook has been excellent for my 4-year-old in Reception. It matches really well with what they’re learning at school, so it feels familiar and helps reinforce their phonics in a simple, clear way. The activities are easy to follow and broken down into small steps, which is ideal at this age. It focuses on sounds, simple words, and early blending, and I’ve already noticed my child becoming more confident when trying to read. It’s also engaging without being overwhelming – colourful, fun, and just the right level to keep their attention. We only do a few pages at a time and they actually enjoy it, which is a big win. Overall, a great workbook for building early reading skills and confidence. Perfect for children in Reception or just starting their phonics journey.

Collins educational activity book, excellent as always. My granddaughter couldn’t wait to get started. Well illustrated, colourful and easy to follow with a bit of adult guidance.
