Company Tulip Etimo Rose Crochet Hook Set

These are my favourite hooks, I was worried about spending so much money and I really wasn’t sure I’d notice a difference, but, they are comfortable to use and glide threw the yarn with no catching

Very pleased with the look of this crochet hook set very neat and compact as they were purchased as a gift I can’t comment on ease of use.

Took the plunge and bought these as a joint mother's day birthday present. I bought from ebay as the set is cheaper on there from the same seller. I also was offered by ebay a £7 off code when I went to purchase which was a nice surprise! I love the set it's very pretty and the lovely case with its useful scissors and darning needles. With my own addition of a few stitch markers I don't have to drag around my large crochet storage bag. However I hate the straps that hold the hooks in place they are extremely tight and it's difficult to remove the hooks and get them back in again. The hooks themselves glide through the work effortlessly. Before purchase I found the numbering confusing and you need to be aware that the large numbers are Japanese sizing. The UK sizing are the smaller numbers next to them in mm. I was slightly disappointed that the numbering is not embossed onto the hook and it is a sticker. Doesn't look like it will easily come off but given the price expected better. On the reverse of hook is a raised Tulip logo. Doesn't bother me but some may find it irritating on the skin. Also at the top of the hook is a bump just where your thumb would be placed so again doesn't bother me but it might be uncomfortable for others. Given the cost I would advise to purchase a different sized hook of same make to ensure it suits you before buying this very expensive set.

I was delighted with the crochet case but unfortunately the tassle fell apart after only a few weeks which was very dissapointing. I have tried to obtain a replacement from Stuff4Crafts who said they couldn't help however I have e-mailed Tulip in Japan who have agreed to send a replacement tassle from Japan.
