I got this filter because of the Epic water bottle I have which works awesome been used it for about 6 months now, when I changed it it was fairly easy and straightforward and I definitely going to pick up about a year or two worth just to have on standby because these kind of go in and out of stock give or take here and there... best value for money and don't feel like I'm wasting a bunch of plastic at the same time good stuff😎👍

These filters have literally changed my life. They've got me drinking so much more water. I had been using the Epic Nano pitcher filter for about a year, but the gravity system takes time, and one whole pitcher of filtered water would be used up in one filling of my canteen. With these "everywhere" filters, the water is filtered as you suck up the water, so there's no delay. The amount of gunk I can see the filters catching is astounding.

We've used these bottle filters for other hikes and most recently in another country. Traveling to Spain again and don't need to worry about the water supply when we have the added protection of this filter in our backpacking supplies.

They work

Used to the old filter but always good to change. Hope the water flow is better than the old filter, it should fit my bottle, same 3 months life as the other one. If the water is cleaner with the filter it's quality is worth the water flow and longevity. Epic has always been easy to use.

Too difficult to suck water through - doesn't matter how many contaminants it filters if you can't use it.

I drink a lot of water. Three years ago I decide to try to cut down on plastic use when possible and this seemed like a very simple way to do so. I cannot imagine how many single use bottle I have saved in that time. When I first bought my Nalgene with an Epic water filter it was the original with the black or orange casing (depending on your choice) completely disposable filter. I LOVED it. Now that there are they replaceable filters I have come to realize that there are pros and cons. I cannot say one really outweighs the other so I’m just going to focus on this one since it’s what we have. Pro: more components are reusable so less garbage $5 cheaper if you just by the replaceable filter Seems to be little bit longer than the original so there is less water that I cannot reach -something that has always been annoying Con- Make sure that you remove the top portion of the casing or you will not have all that you need - this is more of an anecdotal recommendation than a con. I threw mine away when first trying to use the replacement filter and had to buy a whole new filter because I no longer had the cap where the straw attaches. The casing for the filter easily screws apart during use. It’s annoying. The inside of the casing gets super gross from housing the filter. Maybe consider keeping more than one on hand to wash and switch them out. I hate seeing how disgusting the filter is since the casing opens so easily. I can barely stand to use it for full three months. This just contributes to more waste. Often on backorder or not available even on the Epic site

The filter I was sent doesn't fit my bottle and I couldn't tell that when ordering.

The filter itself is great, been using this with a Nalgene for over a year and you can’t beat the pure taste and peace of mind when travelling and filling up at questionable locations. However, my most recent order was obviously a return - I opened the box to don’t the filter was in a torn open plastic bag (not safety sealed) and it was obvious it had been handled - dirty finger prints and dirt on the filter. I put it back in the box and wrote directly on it that it was a return so it doesn’t get restocked like it obviously did last time. That’s a reflection of Amazon warehouse handling, not the company Epic Filters. Their product is amazing. Just double check that yours comes sealed and is sanitary, being a food/drink product.
