Bought this BRITA Glass Water Filter Jug because our coffee machine's built-in filter was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Enter this majestic jug — sleek, glassy, and surprisingly fridge-friendly. I was expecting something the size of a medieval urn, but it actually fits right next to the milk like it belongs there. It’s only 2.5L, but somehow doesn't hog space like that one flatmate who spreads their hummus across three shelves. Now our coffee machine has stopped sulking, the water tastes like it was blessed by alpine monks, and we feel unnecessarily smug about our hydration choices. We use it exclusively to fill the machine, and I half expect it to start purring every time we do. Honestly, this jug is probably the most refined thing in our kitchen. It’s glass, so we feel classy. We’re not. But still. Highly recommend if you like your water filtered, your coffee smooth, and your fridge slightly more sophisticated than it was yesterday.

Lovely and still working well. Easy to take apart for filter change. Be careful not to knock against your tap.

Bought to replace an old plastic water filter jug, our initial reaction was some surprise that it was larger in diameter than the old one and didn’t fit into the door shelf of our fridge. With a little re-arrangement we moved it to a middle shelf and began to appreciate its benefits. It has a bigger capacity than its predecessor, easy to fill and replenish and feels more substantial. Overall an improvement on the earlier jug and a worthwhile upgrade.

I honestly cannot believe how good the water tastes out of this water filter jug I am drinking and enjoying the taste highly recommend.

Great improvement on the all plastic jug.. Easy to keep clean and water tastes great. Also don't have to descale kettle or coffee machine anywhere near as frequently. If you have a coffee machine you need one of these. Only drawback is it doesn't fit easily in the fridge door. Doesn't bother me but other family members would prefer that.

Overall I like this pitcher but there a couple of disappointing features. Brita is NOT cheap. I have only been using this for a couple of weeks and I only use it for my own solo personal drinking water. Already the light is Red, indicating that the filter needs changing. Brita might argue that this is the fault of my water. I expected 2 months, not 2 weeks. Next, the design of the inner chamber is such that unfiltered water pours into your glass when the jug is at its max 2.5L capacity. Lastly, it's a nice glass jug but the glass is a bit on the thin side so it feels more fragile than is ideal for an item that is in regular use. I don't think it's worth the premium price.

Robust glass jug holds a large volume of water with the top reservoir unfiltered. Flashing indicator lets you know when it’s time for a change of filter. Feels good to store my water in glass rather than plastic but definitely not fridge-door friendly

Ich bin total begeistert von dieser BRITA Glaskanne. Sie sieht nicht nur hochwertig und elegant aus, sondern macht das Wasser auch spürbar frischer und angenehmer im Geschmack. Besonders gefällt mir, dass die Kanne aus Glas besteht und trotzdem sehr praktisch im Alltag ist. Mit den mitgelieferten Kartuschen habe ich direkt für mehrere Monate ausgesorgt. Für mich eine tolle Kombination aus Design, Nachhaltigkeit und Funktionalität – ich würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Facile d'emploi et d'entretien ! L'eau a une saveur douce depuis que j'utilise ce système et je constate que je bois bien mon litre d'eau ! Carafe en verre elegante et bien que fine est résistante. Pour l'été je mettrai le contenu dans une bouteille en verre au frigo car la carafe n'y rentre pas, ce n'est pas un problème si vous en faites aussi des glaçons !

I really like the look of the water jug. The tapered lower part fits on my fridge door easily. There is a little round detachable LED indicator 'smart light' that you attach to the underside of the flip top lid. Each time water is poured from the jug, the pouring water activates the indicator flashing green, yellow or red , using a traffic light system. This signals when to replace the cartridge. Yes, the jug itself is glass and the lid + cartridge filter receptacle is plastic. The cardboard packaging was quite minimal. I can certainly taste the difference from the tap water I was using for my Soda Stream to now using Brita filter water.
