Good variety of prompts
Sometimes I enjoy writing but I’m not one to just journal about my day. I enjoy flipping through the pages and picking whichever question I feel like answering. I have had my Book for 10 years and I wrote the date next to every answer I wrote in. It’s interesting to see how things changed. I now buy this book as gifts for young adult women in my life along with some cute pens and other self care/relaxing items. When I worked in a residential mental health hospital with teenage boys, I wrote a bunch of the questions on the board and they enjoyed picking a few prompts, writing their responses and some even shared with the group.

How Well Do You Know You?
My daughter is very hard to buy presents for, so through out the year, I'm always finding little treasures she would love. I want to give her gifts with meaning, don't get me wrong, she still gets a couple of outfits, but beyond that, I like to make homemade items, or pick an ornament from a craft show that reminds me of her. I know I'm a sappy mom, but sometimes I try to give her things that will still matter 10 years from now.She just started yearbook this year and she loves to read and write. This book gives 300 different prompts to write about. By filling out this book now at 13, it will be like a diary. When she gets older and reads it again, It will be interesting to see what she feels the same way about, and those things that have changed.I think it's important for her to see what is really important and continue to always learn more about herself. And I think this book will be perfect for her!An example of some questions:1. Describe your favorite article of clothing.2. What is most important in a friend? Someone who makes you laugh or someone that is always there for you?I know my job right now is to show her the important things in life. Buying a Christmas ornament is not a big deal, unless it comes with a meaning behind it. I like for her to see what's important and to always keep learning about herself. I think this book will be perfect for her.

Was fine for a gift for a high schooler interested in writing
Bought this as a gift for my Highschool brother who wants to go into journalism. He enjoyed it, but mentioned some prompts felt repetitive.

Open Bound on Purpose!
Okay y'all, let's adress the elephant that isn't even in the room: this book is open bound for a reason! If I see one more review saying "~bUt sELler iT Is nOT gLueD tO ThE cOVeR!~" I'm gonna cry, for real. To those not familiar with journaling or hand writing on something that is not your long forgotten college ruled white paper in high school, open bound books are done that way to make them easier to write in. You're not trying to "crack" the spine of the book to have it lay flat, it does it for you.ANYWAY, bought this book for a friend's kid to help him work on his penmanship in a creative way. Overall the questions are PG and "safe" for younger writers but some are a little deep and geared toward an adult's perspective. Honestly tempted to buy one for myself, I appreciate the prompts. Also, props to Piccadilly for making such a handsome journal, it's really quite lovely. Subtle, dusky blue with silver lettering is classy AF.

Fun prompt book, but needs quality control
The book is great so it gets 5 stars, but I think I got a defective copy as the spine is completely detached from the binding and there’s no trace of glue, which means it was sent out like that. It’s no big deal, I’ll glue it myself, but it would have been embarrassing had I given this as a gift.UPDATE: I have just found out that these kind of ‘journals’ are left unglued on purpose to leave more freedom to flatten them when writing. And I have just glued it. Now I feel silly 🤪
