Useful rules and tips on one page - corresponding exercices on the other. A great book to improve your grammar. Each set of two pages is a separate "unidad" which enables to break down the lessons into manageable chunks. The examples and exercices use words that are common and useful. And the glossary at the back enables you to work independently without the use of internet or the dictionary. Some little illustrations or time lines help you understand and remember the rules. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking to improve your spanish grammar!

The format is very clear, one page of grammar theory and the opposite with exercises. Unlike "uso de la gramática española", all the answers are in a key at the back of the book and there is a full glossary containing all the vocabulary used in the theory and exercises, meaning you can study independently without a dictionary or teacher to explain meanings. I'd recommend this even to people who aren't studying for the DELE as it clarifies lots of small gramatical exceptions and constructs you probably haven't noticed, and it is much clearer to follow independently than uso de la gramática.

Brief explanation with examples followed by lots of exercises. The constant practice and chance to check answers is great. The book is a marathon of grammar. It’s been great in helping me achieve my Spanish qualifications.

I have only worked through 10 exercises so far but the layout is very convenient, the grammar is explained well and the exercises are challenging. Exactly what I wanted. Probably of A level standard.

I have got several Spanish grammar books with exercises and this is by far the best. The explanations are very clear and the exercises use meaningful sample sentences (unlike for instance Practice Makes Perfect books, where at some point the author lost the will to live and used sample sentences like "Why do you suppose Peter has put his wife inside a pumpkin?"). Each chapter/topic is short enough that you can do it in one sitting during lunch break or can do a few of these and a mock exam in one day. The solutions at the back of the book are correct (I'm looking at you, DELE preparation books with the separate solutions booklets and the incorrect solutions). Because the books come in different levels, no unit is superfluous and instead even if you think you know all there is to know about the topic, you will get some more knowledge from the unit. The book encourages you to properly count the number of mistakes you made, which is very helpful to evaluate your level of knowledge. This is a really great book and I wish I had found it before wasting money on so many lesser books.

El libro es ideal para quien ya tiene conocimientos avanzados y quiere seguir progresando y perfeccionarse. La calidad del papel también es muy buena. Recomendo.

This grammar book is indeed for students at the advanced levels. The topics presented in this book are hard to find in other sources because the advanced level is not well published. The book is exclusively written in Spanish, which may sound daunting but it is actually very understandable and well presented. There used to be a book titled "De la oración simple a la oración compuesta.". It was the only other book I have ever seen with the most advanced nuances presented here. The book is very durable. The cover is cardboard that is covered in plastic, and the pages are thick. I really do not think you can go wrong as long as you work on your knowledge of verb forms and do these exercises while concentrating on the grammatical nuances presented in their contexts.
