I purchased this set of two lanterns for my grandaughters who want to do some indoor (and perhaps outdoor) camping. Love the size, bright light, multiple hanging options, a very well made and useful lantern. I wanted lanterns that included the rechargable battery. However, the battery of one of the units will not charge. Fortunately the lantern employs a pretty common battery which I have since purchased from Amazon for $15 (for two). The other caveat, I am debating by another model that looks and works like a more common camping lantern with light exiting all around the unit--this model, the light exits the top (or bottom) only. Fine as a flashlight or hanging lantern, but not traditional in look and function. Bottom line, it is a perfect lantern for young kids to use indoors, outdoors, with several options. Would buy again. *****I made a huge mistake!!!!! My granddaughters found that indeed the lantern slides open to provide the traditional lantern look and 360 degree lighting! So my original review was incorrect and now we are even happier with the purchase!!!!********

This 4 pack of collapsible lanterns has everything I wanted; adjustable lantern light, flashlight, magnets onvbottom, able to hang from top or bottom and red emergency light setting. Works on 3 AA batteries (not included) or the rechargeable 1800Mah rechargeable batteries already installed in the lanterns. The package included 4 USBC charging cables. IMPORTANT... remove the bottom of each lantern and move the battery until you see the paper tab, remove the paper and reassemble. You are now ready to plug the charging cables to power supply and charge overnight. These are a good source of light and, on the event of power outage can be charged in vehicles or AA batteries swapped for 1800 mAH. Happy to have these and recommend them.

These are a fantastic value for the price and replace any short-term lighting solutions such as traditional flashlights or tap lights and candles. 1 lantern easily lights a large room in a power outage, no need to carry it as a flashlight. My husband was still stuck on flashlights when we lost power, he wanted to buy a new Maglite, which was a great flashlight 20 years ago. These lanterns have magnets as mentioned making it easier to light a garage or other outdoor space keeping it stationary allows us to do some outdoor work when the sun sets at 530pm. The handles make them simple to carry and or carry several at once. They seem well made, need more time to assess the durability, light life and battery efficiency. Super happy to have found these!

Picked up a pair of these to have for power failures. They come with generic 18650 batteries rated at 1800mah, so these aren't exactly powerhouses. But they charge in unit, which is convenient. The battery compartment is pretty clever - takes either 3AAs or a single 18650. So when the rechargeable runs out, you can throw in some disposables if the power's still out. The light isn't bright enough to make you forget the power's out, but it's bright enough to make a meal and keep you from tripping over your kid's toys. I wouldn't take them camping, though - I doubt they'd last more than one trip as the construction/build quality is pretty flimsy. However, as emergency lights they're fine.

This flashlight is awesome! It has so many features. Perfect size and works great. I love the magnet on the bottom and when you open it for a lantern it seems very bright. I also love the compact size

My hubby only liked Maglites, but after 30 years of replacing batteries and light bulbs and still never having a working flashlight when we needed one or being the one who had to hold the flashlight in just the right position so he could see whatever he was working on, I bought these. He's now a convert. These lights are simply the best. They solve every problem that comes up when you need a flashlight. It sits securely on any surface, standing and if you need to lay it on it's side, it doesn't roll. Open it and the light is so bright it'll fill the room. Shield your eyes because it is BRIGHT! The flashlight function is perfect, not as bright as the lantern function but bright enough to get any job done, easy to hold, stand and doesn't roll lying on it's side. It comes with 3 strong magnets on the bottom that hold very well, perfect to stick on a vehicle if you need to use either the flashing red hazard or SOS functions. It comes with wire handles for carrying or on the bottom are 2 hooks for hanging. It charges using a usb and you can use it as a battery bank to charge your phone. All this and you get TWO for under 20, but the BEST thing is I no longer need to hold it for him. He can easily place one however he needs.

Gifted these to the men in the family for Christmas. They are very bright and were well received!! Even though small in size it did not affect the quality. Thank you for such a good price on a great product!!

Won’t charge at all, even after leaving it plugged in overnight. It still won’t turn on. Really disappointed—wish I could get my money back. I am updating my review. Oct 28, 2025. I realized that where the rechargeable battery is inserted, there is a thin strip of paper where the battery tip should meet the springs in the battery, once I removed that, the battery was able to charge properly and maintain the charge. I hope for those persons who said theirs weren't charging can look so see the thin strip of paper and remove it. I didn't feel right leaving the negative review after further inspecting the product and found the issue.
