Uni-Ball AIR - 0.7mm Medium Rollerball - Black - UBA-188-L - Pack of 3

I'm what you would call a pen snob, or a collector, or a fanatic, whichever you prefer - I like pens. The Uni-Ball AIR is a wonderful pen for sketching, and writing, especially cursive writing. The pen is juicy, smooth, and provides great coverage for filling areas. It glides on the paper like a catamaran does on water. I tried my best to show some comment shading techniques for drawing. This is not an ultra-fine pen for technical drawing though. It's a great pen for people who like pens, 100%. Its capable of both bold and fine lines, depending on the angle and pressure. Because it the ink is so wet, it can smear so watch out for that. Once it's dry though.. The ink too is jet black, great for redacting your own writing with the same pen. or even over laser printer ink in my experience. Another note on sketching, if scumbling is your preferred method of shading, this is your pen. I simply cannot illustrate in words how nice this pen glides across the paper.

I use fountain pens for drawing cartoons (not for writing, because I'm left-handed), and was looking for a gel or roller ball pen that could give me a similar "flex" effect, with some line variation based on how much I press the nib. The Amazon description emphasizes this flex/pressure/variation quality in the description, so I gave t a try. I was not disappointed. The ink is nice and black, and can go from quite fine (by easing way up on the pressure) to a bold line, all in one stroke. For more casual drawing situations, it is a credible stand-in for a fountain pen with some flex in the nib. Needs about 10 seconds to fully dry and become smudge-proof, for heavier lines or dots, but it makes a clean line that does not smear with colored markers once dried. I'm a lifelong pen junkie, always on a quest for the best cartooning pen, and this is this is the best gel or roller-style pen I have found for this kind of use.

The tip on this is weird but with the right angle it’s a perfectly juicy pen! Super inky, jet black, it writes beautifully!

Unique and very nice rolling. Ink flow is variable, but always heavy; writing with so light a touch that a narrow line can be drawn is impractical for me, and my compact handwriting comes out garbled. I think they're very good for art. Pen body is worse than the Vision Elite but fine. They feel dainty and fragile. Here's some insight into my pen search: When I was a teen, the Vision Elite was the best consumer writing texture you could get. I bought these because I thought the most important thing to me was smoothness. Actually, there are many quite smooth pens now that aren't rollerballs. There are two main kinds of ink. Oil and water. Normal pens are oil. Rollerballs are water. Gel pens are rollerballs with extra color goop. But now hybrid ink is a thing. That's like really thin oil, so you get consistency AND smoothness. The also make those in extremely fine points, below half a millimeter. I ended up with a nice Jetstream in .28 and I'm happy with it. The lines are narrow, and my handwriting is pretty and crystal clear. I I were gonna choose again, I'd take the .38 for extra smoothness.

I don’t particularly like the looks of it but this is one of the smoothest writing experiences. Good hand feel, too. Lasts long.

UPDATE: After giving these a second chance (maybe I got a bad batch??) I can say these are fantastic for my use as described below. Like most pens the cap is not there to chew on, but to keep the tip moist. And we all know that's Job 1 whenever such a situation arrises.... I've been trying to find a pen that won't drag on the varying quality of notepads I get from the various O Depot's and such. The consistency differs from pad to pad. I read on an pen website (I'm not sure what is worse-me surfing on pen websites or actually running a pen website as my career choice) that these pens were the best rollerball's available. I ordered three. They are fair at best. The Pilot G-2's that I've discovered without having to de-pen-d on a website are much more handy.

It could be a great pen but it has bubbles in the ink and skips when you write. It did well the first 2-3 days then started skipping. Smears easy. Comfortable hold.

Ink smears if you don't let it dry. If you write slanted a bit, the writing looks thick and thin in some places.

I have been using these pens for many weeks now. They are of very good quality. Definitely worth buying. The ink flows easily, and hence the writing process is very easy on the hand.

Super fluidas y totalmente son el equivalente a escribir con pluma fuente con excepción de que no le puedes cambiar la tinta. Recomendadas.
