that when I bought these because I wanted to teach myself to suture that 6 months later I'd have a real world use for therm. While these are listed as for training only, out of necessity, I used it to close three large gaping wounds on a chicken that was attacked by a hawk. She wouldn't have survived without it and there are no vets in my area that will work on chickens. So faced with the choice to cull her or try to save her, I picked the latter. I'm happy to report that these worked great and 10 months later she's still running around being a happy chicken.

These got the job done, but they are definitely not great sutute. They aren't quite equivalent to what is used in surgery, but they were okay to practice with.
