Incredible range! I recommend using high quality wifi router connected to their LAN port.
**update - no more drop issues - in my review below I was having internet drop-outs, but I found out it was an issue with my source wifi connection. The CC Vector device is amazing and I'm super happy with it. The best way to sum it up, is that it's not a super "smart" device - so you'll need to connect to a strong source wifi signal - if you get ANY kind of drop out issues with the source wifi, you'll have issues. But if you have a WIFI source that is strong and consistent, this will allow you to connect to it from very far distances. I'm very happy with it! **original review below** We needed to get a wifi signal across a property to another building about 600 feet away, a property with scattered trees between the 2 locations. Nothing seemed to work, and I was hesitant to spend $300 for a solution, and I didn't want to pay for another internet line to the other building. I tried a few cheaper $100-$150 solutions, but they simply didn't work. The CCrane kit worked right away. It did take about an hour or so to assemble and setup, and it was by far the easiest long-range wifi solution in terms of the technical setup - it's no different than setting up a basic wifi range extender/repeater. We connected the CCrane repeater to a 200Mb/s wifi connect connection, and with a 60% signal we were getting only about 10Mb/s download rate - it was slow, but usable. We generally range from 45-75% signal performance with where we setup the receiver antenna. I would HIGHLY recommend putting it as high as you can - we got about double performance when we put the antenna 15 feet high vs. 6 feet high (6 feet high gave us 10MB/s performance, 15 feet up we got about 18MB/s performance) After a few months of on and off performance, I started to get tired of the slow and unreliable WIFI signal. It worked...good enough for browsing, but not good enough for taking business calls, Zoom meetings, etc. Wifi calling would constantly be unclear. We also ran into dead internet issues: a few times a week the wifi signal seemed fine, but would not allow for any internet activity and I'd have to turn off and turn on the wifi rebroadcaster to make it work again. I almost gave up, but I decided to try to use the ethernet ports on the back of the unit. There is one wifi antenna and 2 ethernet ports on the CCrane unit. I simply stopped using the CCrane wifi, and I plugged an Asus AC1200 wifi router into the back of the CCrane unit. BOOM - we went from 10Mb/s performance up to 60Mb/s performance. NOW everything feels right. This number would be accurate - CCrane does say you get about 1/2 the performance of the base internet because it's a repeater and that's what they do. Unfortunately I still get random internet drops - the CC Vector repeater will say it's connected to the internet, signals are strong, but the internet will not work. This happens about once a day and we have to reboot for it to work again. I'm currently working with their support to see if this can be resolved. (review update - this was because of an issue with the source wifi signal - I ended up connecting a Wavlink Ariel HD2 bridge to the source WIFI router, and now we're getting very strong and consistent speeds without any dropouts). So all-in-all - I'm happy with it. The included CCrane wifi could use some technology improvements and updates, but I think they make these things for random couples who RV around the country and don't need blazing internet. Once you bypass the CCrane wifi and use the ethernet in the back with your own high performance WIFI router, you'll notice much improved performance. I hope they update the built in WIFI - it would have been nice to just use one router with a $300 setup!

Better than Expected - By Far!
APPLICATION/NEED: Secondary (permanent) residence on same property located approximately 100ft from primary residence needed WiFi access and we wanted to avoid paying for new service. Metal roof on secondary residence prevented strong WiFi signal reception from WiFi repeater located on roof of primary residence. STRENGTHS: Simple set up thanks to thorough and easily understood instructions. The “dish” needs to be assembled but is quite intuitive. The dish attached easily to a 1-1/4” antenna pole. NOTE: The included hardware will NOT fit on a 2” or larger pole. Setting up the WiFi router was a snap - just be sure to take note of the router name and password located on the underside of the device. UNADVERTISED WEAKNESS: The cylindrical USB hub/adapter that the cable plugs into is temperature sensitive. Apparently, connection/signal becomes unstable or stops working when exposed to sub-freezing or excessive (100+) temperature. How I solved this was with the purchase of an additional coaxial, PL-259 cable that allowed me to keep the hub/adapter indoors eliminating the concern. Price is the only other thing I can complain about. If this system were $50-100 less expensive, it might be a home run. SURPRISING PLUS: Although the instructions imply the potential need to install a full-sized router when more than a single device is used simultaneously, there seems to be no issue with access or speed when using two or three devices (smartphone, TV, PC) at the same time. Heavy streaming or gaming may prove that statement wrong, but otherwise it’s better than advertised. OUTCOME: Once all was properly installed, the system worked flawlessly and solved the slow internet access issue.

Works as advertised, but be prepared to mount the receiver inside.
This system has provided wireless connectivity to inside my steel shop building. Spotty 5G inside the building and complete loss of a decent outdoor signal from my in-home wifi made something like this necessary given the time I spend in my shop. It relays with my home wifi perfectly. Setup instructions were clear. Data speed with a single device is very fast. More than one device at a time requires another router, but that's really not an issue in my shop. Be sure to order an appropriate mount, as needed. My only issue is with the size of hole I had to drill to route the antenna's collector cable inside my building so that I could place the receiver unit inside. Instructions say the receiver's internals can be damaged when temp falls below freezing and even suggests a cable extension to mount the receiver inside. Seems to me such a pigtail should be provided with a smaller diameter connector. Compared to other units I've seen, price is reasonable.

Won't detect wifi networks close by
I bought a new router with extended range and I wanted to be certain that I got signal out in a pole barn about 275 meters away. So I bought this repeater because I wanted internet inside. Hooked it all up and weatherized it for cold weather and moisture. Went through the set-up procedure point by point to the letter. Hooked onto the CCrane repeater signal fine with my laptop. But when I opened browser window to configure , all I got was scanning , scanning , scanning on and on. Never would detect my wifi signal from a mere 275 meters away in a line of sight. Nothing blocking the signal . Parabolic antenna was pointed directly at router. Still nothing. When I stepped just outside the door I got signal to my cheap tracfone just fine , so I know that signal was strong at point of antenna. I tried resetting the device many many times. Never got past scanning. Never detected my strong signal from a short distance away. Returned it and will never buy shit from CCrane again. I wasted a whole day of my vacation screwing with this crap. I'll just run an outdoor Cat6 line and bury it. Should have done that to begin with.

Works great
This WiFi antenna receiver works great. I mounted the antenna on a pole that sticking up above our camper about 4 feet and pointing to the WiFi antenna in the park. The WiFi antenna in the park was about 300 feet from our camper with no working reception inside. Now we have full bars and great reception.

connect to your internet source (the antenna may increase its wifi reach)
it works but not as expected. I'm writing this review hoping to help others in a similar situation. I live in a rural area where there is no hardwired internet but we have internet service with t-mobile wireless home internet with full bars and more about 200 megabits per second which is very fast and reliable, I have a mobile office about 200' from the hotspot and it actually reaches all the way to the mobile office but the signal is so weak that it gets constantly disconnected so I bough this antenna to bring stronger signal, once connected the router showed 83% connection but then it would go down to 30% and then 80% again, then lower, right now I don't even know where is at...so anyway it worked but the router only provides 9-10 megabits per second and seems to be unreliable, but somehow it increased the range of the t-mobile hotspot in my house, now when I open "networks" on my computer it shows my home hotspot with full bars and 200 megabits per second, I have had it for 2- days so I am testing it to make sure it stays that way...so I have the antenna and router running but O do not connect my computer and other devices to the c.cranne cc vector router, I am connected to my house hotspot, so there you have it... for me it worked but not as intended, it worked as an amplifier to my home hotspot

Nice when stuff just works
I used this extender to put WiFi in my all metal barn about 215' from my house. I aimed the antenna at a back window of my house where the home WiFi router (Neatgear Nighthawk 1900) is located, and got very good signal (87%). Manual says you need at least 50%. My entire home bandwidth from the DSL (10M) was available inside the barn. I am in rural Texas and DSL is all I can get. These instructions are the best I have ever seen (I'm a senior citizen), clear, concise and complete. The assembly was straight forward, with no issues, and they include weather proofing for the RF connection. The hardest part in my case, was finding the optimum position to put the antenna, and mounting the antenna. Finding Line of Sight through trees and other obstacles. The antenna is intended to mount on a pole, but I really didn't need that, and I also wanted to minimize the profile and appearance. So I built my own bracket to give me the 130 degree angle I needed, and attached that directly to the antenna mount. I also put a doubler inside on the sheet metal to distribute any wind or ice loading I may get from the antenna. I read previously from another reviewer to follow the instructions exactly. I would agree with that and you should have no problems. I hope this little system stands a reasonable test of time bc I am impressed and happy I finally have WiFi in the barn. Update 3/4/22 I've added this update for anybody that might have a similar situation to help save time. My kit came with a Split USB-A 2.0 20' cable (one end had a mini B) and a USB-A 2.0 12" Extender cable. Directions say to connect the Split cable to the receiver and to the extender cable and connect the extender cable to the router. Since my installation has the antenna, receiver, and router all with in about 2' of each other, I didn't need all that cable and the extra connection. But it was a little confusing of why they would have put a 12" extender in the circuit bc there is just no reason for it. So I thought maybe it was custom and changed pin outs, but it doesn't, it is just a USB-A 2.0 extender. So I replaced that whole mess with a 3' USB-A 2.0 to USB 2.0 mini B (the receiver connection has a USB-B 2.0 mini female connector. This is the cable I bought to replace the original two cables. It cost $1.99. Monoprice 3-Feet USB 2.0 A Male to Mini-B 5pin Male 28/24AWG Cable with Ferrite Core (Gold Plated) (105447),Black
