A non-reader
I bought this for my nephew who, at 12, reads at a 2nd grade level. This book was helpful because the story is somewhat engaging, unfortunately, his household isn't very disciplined and it's too easy to put down in lieu of a video game.

Excellent
My daughter loved listening and reading along. This is a timeless classic book that was a little higher than her reading level. She was happy to read along as the CD played. Then later we played the CD's in the car. Highly recommend these classic start books plus CD.
