Used several to suppress EMI with a microcontroller project, together with other remedies (screening cable, twisted pairs, metal box housing). With EMI it is difficult to know which remedies worked and which did not, but better to have used these Ferrite Toroid Cores even if it was just as insurance. They are very easy use to wrap two or three wire turns through them.

Can be used to remove noise on speaker wire
Ive bought a lot of these, they are very usefull, can remove rf on the outside of coax on a radio transmitter antenna.I bought them this time to remove some crackling on a sound bar 5.1 rear speakers.Just wrap the speaker wire in and out about 10 times if your cable will fit, hopefully you can get the plug in, if not use the clip on type.I have 1 on each speaker lead, place anywhere you want closer to the speaker the better.90% noise removed on my Sony 5.1 tv sound bar.Many uses, dint drop them, they break
