Gents Strap Collection

This is my third Eco-Drive watch, the first a BM8180 has been excellent, never missed a beat in over seven years. The BM8186 was a replacement when I thought it lost, but, since found, I now have two. Both close enough to the WWII original I wore daily for 30 years until the cost of servicing, value, and delicacy of an 80 year old mechanism suggested an honourable retirement. This 8186 model is pretty much the same as the 8180: same E101 movement, nice clear dial, not too big, never needs winding, if not for the non-perpetual calendar would rarely need adjusting . The dial is better on the older model, the 'Citizen' name better placed, more discrete and with better symmetry. Also, to my eyes the numerals are just a hairs-breadth broader — the older model is just a touch sharper overall, less blobby. For perfection one might also ask that the black case was matt rather than semi-gloss. Citizen's straps always disappoint, those bright oversized shiny eyelets on the strap are an eyesore; the strap was immediately replaced with something less loud, matt-black silicone rubber. A good watch, I expect it to wear and endure as well as the others.

Excellent watch, pleasing on the eye & the eco drive feature for keeping the battery charged is very welcome. Great price for a timepiece that's built to last.

Excellent watch with clear display. Not too big to get in the way whilst wearing. Hands are precise with day and date clearly displayed in white to offset the black face. Only downside is the strap, which could be more comfortable if made of rubber.

Nice watch Ideal for a small wrist

Watch is smaller than expected, seemed really small on wrist, strap not the greatest and very small, wouldn’t even fit my wrist on last hole.

Firstly, I do like it because it has a small, simple looking face, however, the strap supplied is far too short to be classed as an "adult" watch. It barely went around my wrist, not alone did up. The watch sat on my bedroom side when not being warn, so was in daylight all the time but this has not prevented it from stopping/discharging. When I managed to charge it up slightly, the second hand jumps two or three seconds at a time, not single seconds, and it did not last long, only an hour or so. Will be returning under warranty shortly, not value for money.

Good value for money watch. Have had it for a month and gained only 4 secs. Lightweight enough and mineral crystal doesn't scratch even though ive bumped it a few times for general work. Design is simple and nothing intricate, enough lume for the hands and numbers to read in the dark. Only wish it had sapphire crystal and slightly bigger then its 37mm. Great for those who don't mind. Gives you good timing, day and date for an unbeatable price.

Achtung! Bandbreite sind 18mm und nicht wie in der Beschreibung 22mm. Gute Uhr. Geräuschlos. Schön schlicht. Hinweis zur Verwendung: Die Wochentagsanzeige springt nicht sofort um Null Uhr um, sondern ändert sich langsam in den Morgenstunden ( vor 6 Uhr). Daher sollte in dem Zeitraum auch keine Umstellung der Uhr erfolgen.

Me gustó mucho , muy bonito y el precio más barato que en México . El único detalle es que la caja vino rota , pero el reloj está en perfectas condiciones . Enviado desde Alemania hasta México, el reloj se puede configurar en español y en inglés ! .

! Must read if you think your watch is defective ! J'ai lu de nombreux avis négatifs sur cette montre mais elle n'est pas défectueuse. Encore faut-il comprendre comment elle fonctionne: Déjà, il faut savoir que le premier cran du remontoir tourne dans les 2 sens, un sens pour changer la date et un sens pour changer le jour. Pour vérifier si la date et le jour tournent correctement, après avoir tiré le remontoir au deuxième cran (pour régler l'heure) 1/ tourner les aiguilles dans le sens normal jusqu'à ce que la date change à l'équivalent de minuit (24h00). 2/ continuer à tourner les aiguilles, le jour en anglais va passer en espagnol vers 02h00 am (par exemple SUN>SAB). Continuer à tourner jusqu'à qu'il passe au jour suivant vers 04h00 am (SAB>MON). Le prochain cycle se fera à minuit. 3/ revenir en arrière avec les aiguilles (avant minuit). A partir du premier cran du remontoir, sélectionner la date-1 (en tournant dans le sens inverse) puis le jour-1 (en tournant dans le sens normal). Date-1 signifie que si on veut passer au 15 après minuit, il faut régler sur 14. Idem pour le jour. L'idéal étant de faire l'opération vers 20h00 (08h00 pm), considérant que les aiguilles sont dans la deuxième partie de la journée (entre midi et minuit). Si vous constatez que le jour ne veut plus bouger quand vous tournez depuis le premier cran, alors vous avez les aiguilles entre les chiffres 12 et 4 du cadran, équivalent entre minuit et 04h00 am. Dans ce cas, tourner les aiguilles à partir du deuxième cran pour aller au delà de 04h00. Enfin, pour ceux qui aiment les montres de la taille d'une horloge de salon et qui pèsent 1 kilo, passez votre route. Le boîtier mesure 37mm, pas 45! Pour ceux qui ont des poignées gros comme un tube PVC de 40mm, allez-y. J'ai changé le bracelet pour un modèle nato marron. La montre est super confortable.

Citize siempre te da más por menos. Éste es un reloj de cuarzo solar, lo que significa que la exposición al sol carga una pequeña batería o acumulador y puede funcionar muchos años sin ningún tipo de mantenimiento. Es importante leer las especificaciones del fabricante en relación a la cantidad de exposición solar que necesita para cargar completamente la batería y cuanto tiempo puede funcionar sin recibir luz solar. Se suele aconsejar mantener la batería bastante cargada siempre para evitar problemas. En cuanto a la estética de reloj puedo decir que es impresionante. La legibilidad es inmejorable. Números arábigos blancos sobre fondo negro. La esfera es muy limpia. Las células solares son inapreciables lo cual da una idea de hasta donde ha perfeccionado Citizen esta tecnología. La caja tiene el tamaño perfecto para un reloj de campo. En mi muñeca de 16,5 cm. queda genial. También me ha sorprendido la calidad del lúmen. Tengo el modelo con la caja plateada y la correa verde oliva y creo que este modelo en negro tiene un lúmen aún mejor. He leído algunas opiniones críticas acerca de la correa. Para mí es de muy buena calidad y no tengo problema para ajustarla correctamente. El conjunto de caja, esfera y correa en negro le dan un toque militar verdaderamente genial. La corona viene protegida por dos protuberancias. Si le tengo que poner algún pero, a éste precio, no sabría decir. Cierto es que, por pedir, le pondría un cristal de zafiro y una corona roscada. Por último decir que la resistencia al agua es muy buena (100 m.). En resumen, precioso reloj tipo militar a un gran precio y con un sistema de carga de cuarzo solar que durará óptimamente muchos años sin mantenimiento. Quién sabe, tal vez lo herede tu hijo.
