Easy to connect and accurate temperature readings
I bought these to use with Home Assistant, and the setup was surprisingly easy. They connected quickly and were recognised without much effort, which is always a bonus when dealing with smart home devices. The screen is fairly simple but clear, showing the temperature in a way that’s easy to read at a glance. It doesn’t try to do anything overly complicated, which I actually prefer. The temperature readings also seem very accurate based on what I’ve compared them with around the house. For the price, they offer really good value and do exactly what I needed them to do. Overall, a straightforward and reliable option if you want an affordable temperature sensor that works well with a smart home setup.

Accurate and nice looking screens
You know how the things are looking like when you are a home automation fan? You have plenty of sensors and screens in the house but you still don't have enough. ☺️ Despite the fact that I already have in all the rooms accurate temperature/humidity sensors from Shelly - connected via Bluetooth, I noticed that there is a long way until someone (ok, my wife as always 😂) will actually read their values using the screens from the walls or phones. This encouraged me to look for some simple and nice looking screens, but also having a good quality and durability. Considering that I'm already using several other gadgets from Shelly, Zooz, Aeotec, Philips, Innr, Zipato, TpLink and Sonoff and I'm very happy with their simplicity and quality, my choice was mainly made by the price and offers that these brands were offering at the moment of buying. Therefore, I found that Sonoff came with the best balance price/quality. Connectivity was not so important as I'm using both Zigbee and Z-Wave protocols (AEOTEC for Zigbee and ZOOZ for Z-wave). I knew, therefore, that I'll have no issues connecting a SONOFF sensor to an AEOTEC zigbee module. Functionality is good, see the picture attached. This is also confirmed by the Shelly temperature/humidity sensors from the house. The screen is simple and has a nice contrast and if I have no complaints from my wife, then it worked 100%. 😎 There are two variants of attachment. On the wall using a strong magnet and on the table. What I like about them is that on the wall you can stick the magnetic part using 3M double tape already attached. That plastic part is like a pocket for the sensor, you can - if you want to move the sensor somewhere more visible or you wany to measure the temperature in a different place - you can literally take the sensor from its pocket and place it on a table. Battery type is CR2450. I bought the pack of two sensors and I had to replace the battery to one of them as it was empty, while the other one had a full battery. I had a Duracell CR2450 spare battery already so this was a simple fix for me. Not sure about the battery life overall, I'll be back here later for updates regarding this matter. But the lesson will be from this episode to have a CR2450 spare battery as you never know when you need one ;)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smart Sensors That Power My Automation + Setup Tip and Bridge Requirement
I’m using these SONOFF SNZB-02D temperature and humidity sensors alongside the SONOFF Zigbee Bridge Pro to automate tasks across my property. They’re installed in outbuildings to monitor environmental conditions, and when thresholds are reached, they trigger smart plugs and appliances such as heaters, fans, or dehumidifiers. The sensors are accurate, responsive, and integrate well with the app. Important note: these sensors require a Zigbee bridge to function as smart devices. Without one, they simply act as standalone digital gauges with no automation or remote monitoring. Once paired with the bridge, they unlock full smart functionality. Setup wasn’t flawless, which is why I’ve rated them four stars. Pairing was a bit fiddly at first, but after speaking with SONOFF support, I learned that connecting and updating the sensors close to the hub or router makes a big difference. Once I followed that advice, they paired quickly and worked reliably. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, and having both temperature and humidity data available remotely is a huge plus. Signal range varies depending on walls - in my wooden cabin, the sensor works fine at around 15 metres. In my brick garage, the signal weakens at just over 6 metres, so placement matters. Battery life initially was quite short, but after replacing with a branded battery, they seem to be lasting a lot longer. They’re not the cheapest sensors out there, but the functionality and integration make them worth it if you’re building a smart automation setup. Just follow the pairing tip and make sure you’ve got a compatible bridge.

Informing About Home Assistant.
Great little temp and humidity gauge. Accurate and worked perfectly for me with ZHA in HA. Paired within a couple of seconds and has been rock solid for me for 9 months now. Obviously, you can use it in automations, and I have it controlling a Sonoff TRV(excellent piece of kit) in the attic, turning it on when it gets below a certain temp, then turning it off when it gets too warm. Have no hesitation in buying it, top notch. Just be aware that it uses a CR2450 battery, which is not that easy to get. I live in Ireland, and the best price I got was from Viking Direct, 4.50 euros for 2 and 5 euros for delivery.

Accurate and works well with SmartThings
Before deciding on a very simple room temp / humidity meter I did an extensive research. I only wanted an accurate one, and browsing through dozens I started giving up on the idea. Then I thought, hell if it’s not that accurate at least it should be SmartThings friendly. That’s how I found this product. The official website mentions a +/-0.2C temp accuracy and a +/-2% RH humidity accuracy, which I truly found a bit far fetched as most sensors allow tolerance of exactly or above 0.5C for temp and 5% for humidity, which are quite huge if you think about it. So while 0.2C and 2% sounded really really great, I took it with a pinch of salt. Well I have to say, it’s delivered its promise, which was quite unexpected to be honest. I bought 2 because they were on sale, so I thought I could at least test out that promise. I left both thermostats in a closed room (with no draft) for overnight to allow them to sit. In the morning I took a picture of the reading (attached to this review) and I was shocked how accurate these lovely little things were! The SmartThings integration was a bit tricky as it wasn’t listed under the choosable options, I had to search for Sonoff and add them through that step. I also pushed and held the one and only button when it didn’t get discovered the first time, as I figured that was what had to be done to put it in discoverable mode. This wasn’t in the manual, which was very short and very small print, I couldn’t even read it. Though it was common sense to push and hold a button to make it discoverable, perhaps not everyone would automatically assume this step. Anyway, I highly recommend this product for its accuracy and for excellent SmartThings integration, as I can use it with any routines.

Great sensor. Disappointing battery life.
Battery life is dissapointing. Things can be improved by adjusting the trigger intervals.

Easy to setup, works great
Smaller than I expected, in a good way. Took it out of the box, unwrapped, pulled out the battery tab, and paired to my Home Assistant install in less than a couple of minutes. The built-in kickstand is great for a windowsill, and the magnetic wall holder is a nice additional touch. Very impressed.

UPDATED: Sonoff have been really helpful and reliability has also greatly improved
UPDATED ** I was contacted directly by Sonoff (after my review) to try and help troubleshoot. They replaced the faulty sensor very quickly and then wanted me to send some detailed stats from Zigbee2MQTT. Their tech support does seem to know what they are talking about even regarding 3rd party products such as Homeassistant, Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA - which is encouraging! I didn't send them any stats, however, as the devices had stabilised and were (and still are) perfectly solid. I'm not sure if this is due to a Z2M update (I have auto-updates turned on) but the devices are stable both connected directly to the Sonoff Zigbee coordinator and when bridged via a dodgy (very cheap) presence sensor. In terms of accuracy, they differ from Aqara but are consistent between themselves (certainly within the +/- 3% you would expect for this type of product). I guess it is just a calibration difference with Aqara, so I have adjusted the Z2M calibration settings and my automations are working fine again. Now that all the reasons I marked it down have either gone away, or been addressed by Sonoff, I have revised my review up to 5 stars. My shower fan/dehumidifier combination is working again so I am happy! Thanks Sonoff. Original Review: I bought these to work with Homeassistant. I have the flexibility to use them with either ZHA or Zigbee 2 MQTT. I have tested them with both. Z2M was very problematic - I couldn;t get them to report temp and humididy reliably so I gave up and switched to Z2M. Under Z2M they are HUGELY sensitive to which zigbee device they pair with. If I pair them directly to the coordinator (a Sonoff Dongle P) I get no temp or humidity readings. If I pair via a cheap zigbee power plug, acting a a repeater, I get temp and humidity but as soon as my zigbee network auto-reconfigures, it connects to a local zigbee motion detector, and stops reporting agian. When it does report the humidiy readings are not reliable. I has a shower in the ensuite and it was reporting 85% - with condensation running down the walls. As I have has so many problems with unit 1, unit 2 has been sat in the (unused) spare room. I went in there today and unit 2 is showing a blank screen. After less than 2 months of extremly light usage! I went to Amazon to organise a return/replacement and they say I have to contact the manufacturer.... in China. Total waste of money. Dissapointed in Sonoff (I use a lot of their Sonoff Basic switches), but especially dissapointed in Amazon. If we aren't getting basic break-fix in warranty support I may as well use Aliexpress. I'm going back to my Aqara sensors. They eat batteries but at least they work!
