how does it clean up?

The Purdy Nylox series cleans up very well when using latex paints. Use a wire brush to clean up and rinse well.

Will the bristles of this brush withstand boiling water for thorough cleaning?

There should be no reason for that just use dish soap and scouring pad and clean with the bristles and clean right after use . I’ve had paint brushes that have lasted years
