Good quality, plenty of straps. I’m not a rescue person, but this will help position the spine and head as promised.

Used on a spine board for use if I ever need it. Haven't used it, thankfully, but it's ready.

These are cheaper than some of the more expensive brands. They do the same job. I found them to be good quality, and they have held up well as we use them for trainings monthly.

Worth buying

I have yet to use the EMX XTRM head immobilizer just yet, but it did come in nice sensible packaging complete with the immobilizer itself, a variety of straps and buckles, a soft cushion, and instructions. The material appears to be durable and tough. The cushions are coated in vinyl, for easy cleanup after any fluid contamination. The straps are sturdy, also tough, and the buckling mechanisms make pure sense. Obviously, this is a device meant to be used by trained personnel, but is a nice addition to my roadside assistance kit should that be necessary. The value for money is infinite here, of course, should the device ever be used as intended. For now, fortunately, it will be kept for first aid demonstrations until needed. Product is of decent quality(material, connectors, stitching) so why pay $10-$20 more for one? One thing to note is this shipped in the manufacture box. Mine arrived with the box beat up as it is a a bit lighter box than a amazon shipping ones. Luckily no damage. If you have the amazon box option I would go for the double boxing to avoid damage to the vinyl on foam.

This immobilizer provides all the things needed to strap a person to a backboard - or in my case, helping train people how to stabilize a patient. It is easy to clean, it is lightweight, although based on size it isn't something most people could stash in their first aid kits, it will be with my training gear going forward!

Does a good job immobilizing the neck. Tried it on and couldn't move it...even a little. Material could be a little heavier duty. Straps are good but I would have preferred they not be separate and "loose" from the brace; makes them easier to get lost or forgotten. 4 stars
