Great collar, really helps my beagle stay out of trouble
This collar is fully adjustable to a wide range of sizes. The range of the remote is great, the remote is easy to use, and the collar is as low-profile as you can get. The prongs on the collar don't leave any calluses on my dogs neck, and do not irritate his skin. The collar holds up well to a very active dog, and that's saying a lot. The tone or vibrate functions work great as a reminder when he starts to do something he shouldn't, or isn't obeying a command. The shock is great when you really need to discourage certain behaviours. It has several levels so you can cater the shock to the size of dog you have, and their threshold for listening vs. disobeying. The collar and remote both hold a charge for a long time if not being used heavily. I think I charge every 2-3 weeks most of the time. Most of the time when my dog starts to disobey, the tone feature works just fine to get him back on track. This is my second dog shock collar. This time, since they were so cheap, I ordered 2 so I would have a spare in case anything happened to this one. My last one, which was a different brand but the same basic design and features, broke when I used it to restrain my dog when he was trying desperately to get away to get at another dog when I didn't have my remote with me. My fault, I should have had a real collar on him, not just the shock collar. Still, it held long enough to allow the other dog to figure out he needed to get off our property. All things considered, this is a great collar, and I recommend it. The picture is of of my dog Beau being silly and sticking his tongue out for the picture!

Great training tool that really works!
I’ve been using this dog training collar for a few weeks, and I’m honestly impressed. The remote is easy to use, and the display is very clear, even in sunlight. I like that it has several modes — beep, vibration, and shock — so you can adjust it depending on your dog’s behavior. The collar fits comfortably and feels durable. The battery life is also great; I only have to charge it every few days. It has made training my dog so much easier and more effective. Highly recommend for anyone who wants better control during walks or obedience training.

Bought it to save Brody's life
We adopted Brody from Last Day Dog Rescue. (My long time selected Amazon charity) Brody is our fifth Lab. One Black. Three Yellow. Now a Chocolate. The first three raised from pups. The last one, before Brody, a rescue. When we adopted Brody he was about 4 and a hardened criminal. An escapee. Caught twice as a stray and incarcerated in doggy jail. Not adopted from the pound he was grabbed up by Last Day Dog Rescue before being euthanized. At close to 100lbs healthy weight, he was 70lbs his last arrest, loaded with fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. Adopted from Last Day Dog Rescue by someone else before us, he was returned as incorrigible. We've had him 2 years now. He has run away countless times since then. He's pulled us off our feet numerous times. At almost 100lbs, walking him on leash, he only needs a few steps to attain escape velocity. Off he goes.. We've always tracked him down, happily wandering the world, dragging his leash. Even though he's chipped, has an ID collar and tags, he is also clueless about cars. I've run into the road, waving my arms, too many times trying to stop traffic and avoid both of us becoming road kill. Basic obedience training helped some, but did not curb Brody's desire and skill to push us out of the way and dart between our legs when a door to escape was open just a crack. I resisted using an electronic collar for too long, worried about the stigma that "they're cruel". But compared to the real probability that Brody would get lost and not returned, tangle with a bobcat, coyotes, or an alligator, or more likely get hit by a car, a few brief moments of discomfort during training made the choice easy Hence, this collar. After some weeks of wearing this collar Brody has become civilized. I started with just tone. That worked pretty good. When it didn't, I used vibration. Better. When that failed, he got zapped. In the course of the first month, he's probable been shocked 3 or 4 times. The shocks made the tone and vibrate options even more effective. It didn't take Brody long to figure out that the controller is what gives me power even when he's beyond my reach. Which means I can now let him off leash when we're in a safe place. I just show him the controller, tell him "behave", and he does. So, I believe this tool can save Brody's life. And make him a great companion. Our first 4 Labs were females. Brody our first male. And he's the most affectionate of the five. He's a super happy guy without a mean bone in his body. As he becomes better behaved every day he has a good chance to become a really great member of our family. That's the story. Since this is supposed to be a collar review, I'd be remiss if I failed to comment about this specific collar. Worked well out of the box. The longest I've gone without recharging is 3 days. After 3 days it takes less than 20 minutes to reach full charge on both the waterproof collar and the controller. Which leads me to believe I could go much longer between charging. The longest range I've used is about 100 yards. No problems there. Brody's years of unsupervised upbringing and feral lifestyle likely made him a more difficult case than lots of bad dogs. Granted, he's a really smart dog, but being a doggy combo of Einstein and Houdini allowed him to hone his bad behavior escape techniques. His electronic collar has worked magic in teaching him proper behavior.

Good collar over all but HATE the auto-shut off!! Not for us.
this collar was really cute with the different lights on the remote and device, and it worked really well. The beep is loud and the vibration and shocks are very strong at even a low level. Over all decent collar at a great price. The battery life also seemed to be great. The only thing that I did not love and the reason I will be looking for another is that this remote and collar randomly auto-shuts off. The first time I actually needed it to redirect my dog, the thing was not on, despite having been on earlier! Also it beeps and vibrates at start up and turn off, even the random self turn off, which freaked my puppy out. I personally need something that stays constantly on.
