Excellent watch, I'm very satisfied. It's very accurate, a great upgrade, and very easy to operate. It looks great, and the battery life is actually quite long.

My first smart watch, though I've been using Garmin GPS watches for hiking and biking for decades. This watch is really awesome and gives me HR data during my training activities, as well as 24/7 living. The sleep insights are very helpful and seem accurate. It is pretty complex, but watch a few online videos and you can easily set it up how you want it. I would definitely recommend it.

Best Buy ever! Basically a Fenix 8 for a fraction of the cost. Beautiful AMOLED screen with both touch screen and button options. Heart rate monitor and pulse ox are spot on. Waterproof for swimming (not diving) purposes - with great open water and pool accuracy (better than the Swim 2, imo). More choices of activity trackers than you could ever use, great watch face options. Really enjoy the morning summary feature; haven’t used the Garmin coach option (bummer that it doesn’t have a swim coach option - seems more geared towards runners). LOVE the smaller face size - looks proportional on my wrist, with really no compromise to function. Thick, but not bulky - I wear my literally 24/7. Holds a charge for a solid week at minimum with regular activity tracking. This was my first upgrade within the Garmin line (previously had a Swim 2) - I primarily swim, indoor bike, and treadmill run. I would buy this watch a million times over!

As a long-time Samsung Galaxy Watch user who also does a decent amount of outdoor activities, I was excited to try the Garmin lineup! I initially bought the Fenix 6 Pro, not realizing until I received it that the display was transflective and not AMOLED, so I was shocked with how dim the display was and how washed out the colors were, and then after days of playing with settings, I finally realized why - it only supports showing a very limited selection of colors, so high quality images are a no-go, and indoors the display looks rather bad to someone coming from another smart watch. I tried to like it and get used to it, but ultimately I just couldn't deal with how washed out and dim everything looked, so I returned it for this Garmin Epix 2 Pro, which is basically the same watch but with an AMOLED full-color screen, and no solar. This watch has almost the same rated battery life, so I gladly gave up the solar gimmick for a decent screen. Now, if you spend most of your days in bright sun conditions, maybe you prefer the Fenix screen since it's slightly easier to see outdoors in direct sun, but if you are looking for more of a smart watch experience and rely on notifications from your phone and want your watch faces to look decent, the Epix is the way to go, which I can still see just fine outdoors. But speaking of phone integration, I'll say that it does send you phone notifications, but the tight integration coming from a Samsung phone and Samsung watch just isn't there. For example, you'll get a large-font (almost too large) notification mirrored from your phone, but can't do anything with it other than dismiss it. And if your phone alarm goes off, you can't snooze or turn it off from your watch, or reply to messages. Based on that, I'm still considering going back to the Samsung watch, but every time I put the Samsung back on, I miss the Garmin Epix, if not for needing better phone integration since I spend equal time indoors and want to be able to receive and respond to phone alerts without getting my phone out, and the Samsung health & fitness sensors are still pretty decent, even if slightly behind Garmin. I'm still on the fence, but this is by far one of the best watches you can buy for health & fitness tracking! I am very happy with my Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 watch. It replaced my old Garmin Fenix 3, which still worked fine, but all the extra health features and the OLED color display (much more readable - bright and colorful), with longer battery life, made the Epix Pro Gen 2 too much of an upgrade to ignore, and at a much better price point than the Fenix 8 (the additional features of the Fenix 8 did not matter for my use). Since the Fenix 8 now features the OLED display, it is unlikely that there will be any additional generations of the Epix line, so if you don't need the add'l features of the Fenix 8, the Epix Pro Gen 2 is a great option while they are still available.
