Really Awesome ! And at a great price
After using the Remarkable 2 for over a month, it has now become an indispensable addition. The sheer fact that I can carry ALL my notes together in one place in such a convenient form factor is such a blessing. Have taken to it like a duck to water. I have so many folders, notebooks and pages and have been able to settle down with the organisation of notes really well. Adios to all my paper notes, diaries and note pads.If you ask me, what is really the big differentiator of this product over any other device is the concept of layers (upto 5) which can be used. Think of each layer as a transparent sheet over each page, which you can add and remove as you please. The best part? Even the underlying template can be changed. So, one really writes on Layer 1, which you can think of like floats over the underlying template. If you choose to change the template after writing your notes, no problem. The writing was on a different layer than the template. So, you can change the template. A template is like "Broad Lines with a Margin", or a "Grid Pattern - Large" or "Grid Pattern - Medium" etc. The text we write is not married to the template we write on.But, even more awesome are the additional layers one can add on top of your notes on Layer 1. Think of it like tracing paper on your notes. So, for instance, you can add your remarks - in a different colour on Layer 2, while the original text is on Layer 1. Or Red Markups and Yellow Text Highlights on Layer 3. And you can choose to toggle between seeing a specific layer or not. So, while reviewing someone else's notes, for instance, I could add my comments on a different layer, leaving the original notes on Layer 1 undisturbed. Love this layer feature.Another great feature I have started using very often is the ability to mail specific pages of a notebook. So, you can select for instance to mail only Page 2 and Page 4 Notes to perhaps the meeting attendees, while you have your other notes captured but which you dont have to share. You decide which portion of your notes you want to share. So, I use it to capture action items during meetings and immediately thereafter, can mail my hand-written notes to others. It works like a charm. You can decide whether to mail as PDF or JPG or SVG.Now, the Layers I mentioned above, can be added or removed while mailing. That is really so awesome. So, you could send with markups, highlights and comments or just plain notes. How awesome is that !The writing is really great. I found the Calligraphy pen really great to write with - my hand writing in cursive comes out great - like really awesome. I also like the Mechanical Pencil, Marker and Fineliner too, but not a great fan of the Ballpoint Pen. But, these are my preferences. Yours might be different. And the fact that while writing there are no distractions from annoying pop up notifications, etc. is such a blessing. It gives me all the pleasure of writing on paper with the advantage of carrying all my notes in such a sleek form factor.I charge my battery about once a week, because I am such a heavy user. But, havent found it short of juice when I needed it yet,Havent found much need for a keyboard. Perhaps becoz I love writing my notes. Also dont convert much of my notes to text though that option exists and works well. So, how do I search my notes? Well, one can add tags at two levels - individual pages and notebooks. So, searching is quite easy due to that.I also like that I can make a page as long as I want. Without restrictions on its size. I dont have a problem with varying page lengths in the same notebook. So, the page is a really an idea and not a physical form factor constraint while taking notes. The colours do show up on PDFs and images, when synced with my desktop app and mobile app, if we use different colour pens and colour highlights. But, they dont show up on the device or rather show up in black and white or shades of grey. I thought that might be a problem at first, but, I find it doesnt trouble me now.Would recommend Rem 2 to anyone who loves writing and takes notes a lot. Since I do that, I love this product.

A blessing for those who have to write a lot.
This tablet reduced my paperwork by more than 50%.I had this great requirement of organising conceptual notes in a tidy manner. reMarkable 2 helped me achieve that. And it comes with complete eco-friendliness.The screen has ample space for writing enthusiasts. The build quality is indeed very good with no spaces or limitations observed. The device itself is extremely light; the stylus that has been provided feels premium. Plus, it requires no charge as the Apple Pencil does, so you're just good to go on the fly.For those complaining that the pen does not attach to the tablet, then you need to try again. The stylus attaches very nicely with minimal movement on the right edge of the tablet, just below the upper right corner. Here it simply snaps and attaches well. The most important part - the writing experience that it promises, and it indeed delivers really well here. The haptic feedback is great, with literally no lag when it comes to writing. It certainly does achieve its objective of paper feel - will make you forget at times that you're writing on a tablet. I just wished that the screen resolution could be 300ppi instead of 226 but that is not even a limitation. I have finally opened myself in maintaining a journal, maintaining a full-blown notebook where lots of concepts rest, and has allowed me to keep a daily organiser as well with a sudoku book. It has made stuff that mattered the most a lot more minimal and convenient to maintain. For those who write a lot in combination with real paper all out of requirement or simply because of passion, then this is the thing for you.Edit: After extensive use of 2 months, this device has stood with no scratches on screen or backside. Jotting down is a blast!

Amazing workhorse. Questionable product support for India
Updated review after 3 weeks of usage. .Pro0. Availability in India.1. With quicknotes features, you can immediately capture the concept, ideas, todo. Distraction free.2. It can replace all the papers, notebooks, planners.3. Rich set of templates like Cornell, todo list, weekly, daily planning, storyboards. There are remarkable specific 3rd party Digital planners are available.4. Very easy to use software and folder organising4. Can save lot of time and eyestrain. My computer and tablet usage reduced substantially.5. PDF annotation is time saver. eBooks can be uploaded.Cons1. Lacks editing capabilities of iPad/Android tablets with apps like Goodnotes / Notability.2. Subscription for the synchronising after 1 year. They should provide India specific subscription.3. Limited Ebooks features.3. It is quite expensive.4. "100 day return guarantee is available" if you place order thro remarkable website. But in the remarkable website has only "Buy on Amazon" option for Indian visitors.5. When raised the "low battery life of 2.5 days", support team suggested a battery test, but the response was not clear about the expected battery life.BottomlineGreat product. But product does not have useful support structure in India.

Does the job. But most would probably like the addition of android apps and color screen
I think this ad campaign of minimalism is just an excuse because they didn't want to add the horse power for that. I'd love to read comics, books in color, and I'd like for them to add for android apps, I can just uninstall social media if I want to. The price is bit too much of an ask as well. The pros is that, my handwriting has actually improved, because of the erase feature, and I don't need to buy physical notebooks..I'd still probably buy an ipad with a pen and I'll get more stuff with the purchase.who knows maybe i might sell this.
