This is a very stable ladder although it is fairly light and easy to carry. I'm 5'2" and bought it so I can reach the light fixture on the ceiling of my front porch. It is perfect for that and will be perfect for reaching light fixtures in the house and the tops of closets and kitchen cabinets. It was reasonably priced and definitely worth the money.

I am a big man; 6 ft tall, and a solid 300 lbs. This ladder "holds" me. It is [ not ] a top-of-the-line Werner 400lb-rated step ladder, and is [ not ] designed for everyday hard use construction. However, for in the house projects, it is a great choice. The wide steps are comfortable, when standing on step for any length of length time. This 5-step ladder facilitates working up to 9-10 ft. ( for my height ). The work tray is sufficiently strong for tools, or paint. I will say that the ladder "could" have been constructed stronger with some additional bracing. However, it would have increased the cost and the weight. (NOTE: This ladder is not stable when I lean off to the side; it is important to be working directly facing front). As it is, the weight is easily manageable for me; although I could understand how it may be on the heavy side for others. The ladder is relatively easy to store, and does not take much space. For anyone with smaller body dimensions than myself, this ladder will prove to be a very stable platform. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and can confidently recommend it.

Truly love this step ladder. Easy open/close, wide steps for ease, a handle to grab, slim for storage, stable/secure footing. Overall great purchase for the household. So glad!

I'm a senior and needed a ladder I could feel safe using. Kingrack is very well constructed. With the handrails and wide steps, I feel perfectly safe. I can touch the ceiling now! It folds easily and stores away in small space. It does take a little assembly out of box, which I did by myself (a senior lady). I truly enjoyed decorating my 8' christmas tree with my Kingrack ladder. It has made my life easier.

I'm impressed with this Ladder. It's clearly built to last with its robust steel frame and wide, non-slip steps. The steps are a firm plastic material, but they feel solid, not cheap, and seem built to last. The 900-pound weight capacity is more than enough for me being 6' 200 pds. Both my wife and I need it for around-the-house activities and maintenance. One of the standout features is its compact, foldable design. It's easy to store and transport, making it perfect for those with limited space. The lightweight design is also a plus, allowing for effortless movement, I have no trouble carrying it around, and neither does my 5' wife. It looks well-built and feels stable while on it which is key, the steps are non-slip so you feel very safe on it. I've been on the top 4th step stretching to reach what I needed in my home and I felt very safe. I like the dark brown color, it won't look dirty in a few years of use. If you're looking for a reliable and portable step ladder, this is definitely worth considering.

I ordered the 5 Step Kingrack Ladder. I chose it because it had side rails to promote safety. It did not disappoint. It is sturdy and the side rails offer both support while climbing and reassurance of balance while standing. The steps and platforms are a comfortable stepping size. I am a small female and was concerned about the weight of a ladder this size, but it is just fine. The top tray is a plus for holding tools and supplies. It was missing two washers upon delivery. The company representative immediately corrected the problem. I recommend this ladder. 1/23/26-Follow up review. I just finished using this ladder to wash the roof of my SUV. It was perfect in that I felt safe on the wide steps to aid in support and with side rails to aid in balance. I hang it in my garage, which means I have to lift it up about 2 feet, and it is not too heavy for this. I receive nothing for this review. I would just like to offer my opinion for others who need a good ladder.

Superior height and stability

We purchased this because we are getting older and find the steps on a normal ladder uncomfortable and risky, add to that I have mobility issues and my wife doesn't like ladders and won't normally go above step one. Firstly it arrived quickly, it is quite heavy but I'll come back to that. Some assembly is required but the parts are there and the screws and fittings come in a convenient bubble pack and there are spares for everything, at least one spare screw/washer of every Item and even a spare Alan Key! See the photo. Once assmbled it's impressively stable! So stable my wife actually went up to step three! The steps are so deep and wide that your whole foot goes on, both feet in fact. The tool tray is a nice touch and well thought out. So now a few minor downsides. It is quite heavy for an older person but once folded it "walks" nicely. The foam covers on the hand rails slide up and down a little, so I may either glue them in place or just put a cable tie round them, It takes a minute to figure out how it folds but once you realise things sort of lock in place and must be unlocked by pushing them in the right way it gets easier. Overall I'm impressed and very pleased with it, the downsides are minor and the overall quality appears good and the main thing, it feels safe when you're on it.

I bought the 4 STEP version, with tool shelf, as we have 8 FT CEILINGS. Best buy ever! Makes all work safe and easy, no over stretching. Robust Good height Stable Good weight, not too light, or too heavy.

Purchased for my mom when it was on sale as a safer option to clean the tops of her cabinets. As well as she uses it when she needs something taller than her two-step stool as she doesn’t go on a ladder. Prior she would have me climb on her counters and/or use the ladder. As I get older both are getting harder/scarier. I have always been apprehensive on ladders (scared of heights) but honestly as one gets older it gets worse. We both tested this 5-step stool and with the handles on both sides as well as the size of the steps we both felt safe and secure climbing up to and down from the top step. Item exactly as pictured and good quality we both recommend.
