Lasted a nice long 4½ years
It had been working faithfully from October 2021 to today March 2026. 4½ years straight is pretty darn good. These are not supposed to be used that long for the safety of your car's system but it finally gave out. I suspect it was a power surge, from a lighting storm on this 4½ year old charger. To bad its unavailable for sale.

Better, More Versatile, Less Expensive Than Provided Charger
The EV Gear Charger has served us wonderfully well and in all respects appears to be of higher quality than the charger supplied, and provides both 110 and 220 service, a definite advantage either at home or when we travel. And, there is a story. The supplied charger failed, and quite possibly burned out the plug to which it was attached. After experimentally determining that the charger did not work in normal circumstances we contacted our dealer's service office. It was Saturday; we could not get through by phone, that is the phone was never answered. We took our broken charger to the dealer, assuming that it would be a simple problem to confirm that it did not work. It was not. In order to have the charger checked, it was necessary to make an appointment with the first appointment being available in 4 days, Wednesday. The next step was to try to buy a new charger from them. The cost: $600, roughly twice the cost of the EV Gear Charger, with only 110 support; and, it could not be delivered until Monday. We canceled. At home, we looked up chargers on Amazon and found EV Gear. It was half the price, a surprise in itself, and it could be delivered the next day, Sunday, for a mere $10 more. The EV Gear Charger arrived Sunday afternoon, was plugged in, and has worked faultlessly ever since. The story doesn't really end here. It seems that dealers do not know much about electric cars, and do not sell very many of them. So we went to another dealer, who was helpful but needed to consult with their expert. By now it was Monday, and we were simply curious as to whether or not we could get a replacement under the warranty. Because of policy, it was necessary to leave the car there for several hours so that their expert could see if it was the car's fault, the charger's fault, or our fault. The dealer called us back at home, blamed the charger, and told us we could pick up a replacement for free, most likely on Tuesday. days. Of course, the replacement only works on 110, not on both 110 and 220 as does the EV Gear. We had considered going to 220, and at the lower price, we are on the way. In hindsight, we should have first bought an EV Gear Charger, refusing the dealer's charger even though it's likely we would still have to pay for it.

Great product with 30 foot heavy duty cord at reasonable price
We purchased the Level 2 Charger for our 2019 Niro PHEV. This was a great purchase. The cost of a level 2 charger for our car from other sources was double the price of the EV Gear Charger. The charger that came with the car was a level one with a short cable. This 30 foot charging cable is heavy duty and well constructed. The electrician installed the necessary socket as per the instructions. The smart power control circuit is easy to read and comes with chart which we placed near the wall mount. The wall mount holster is a bonus that keeps the EV Gear handle stored away safely when not in use. Initially the handle was slightly difficult to pull out but after a month of use, it is easy to use. This is a great product and would recommend it to anyone with an electric car

Remains difficult to engage/disengage
The product works quite well to charge my Prius Prime. No issue there. However, I have been using it daily for nine weeks and, as others have noted, it is still quite difficult to plug in to the car and especially to remove from the car. There is no way my wife could accomplish it still, even after nine weeks of daily use.

Super fast charging for my Leaf, works great!
I have a 2013 Leaf and the level 1 charger that came with the car worked fine, but on weekends, we use the leaf 100% of the time, so we found ourselves waiting for the leaf to recharge. I finally broke down and had a 240V socket installed in the garage and then bought this level 2 charger. Wow, I am amazed, my car can recharge in 3 hours (from half full), which gives me the range to do all my errands and haul the kids around. Now I plug in when I get back from a short trip and it actually adds miles, before with my other charger it wasn’t doing anything. The holder for the handle is a great idea, I wish I had one of these for the last 3 years, it gives your handle a spot on the wall and makes grabbing it easy, no more stuff on the floor. I have not used the Level 1 adapter cable, but it may come in handy at some point, great idea. So far I am loving this and kicking myself for not going to level 2 charging earlier.

Terrible Charger
I bought this charger for my Chevy Volt in 1/2023 and it k longer charges the car. Improved this by bringing the car to Chevy and hooked it up to there charger and the car charged. If this was a $50 charger I won’t be upset but paying $299 and it only lasted 9 months that is ridiculous. Wouldn’t recommend.

Love it!!
After a month of use, I can safely say that I love it! We drive a Fiat 500e, and as our first electric car, we weren't quite sure how practical it would be versus a gas car. However, this charger makes it super easy! Every morning, the battery is full and ready to go. Usually, we plug it in after getting home from work, and it charges fast enough that it's topped off for any evening trips. It took half an hour to install the port, and was ready to use the same day it was delivered! For the price of this charger and $30 in installation materials, we have a fast charging station in our own garage! Not sure about what kind of Alexa integration it may have, but this is definitely a 5 star product.

Great charger for my Tesla!
I have owned 2 Tesla's and I love my Tesla products. But I wanted to put a charger at my office and was looking for a good charger that could charge at level 2 that’s enough to bring me back to a full charge after a day at the office. This charger is a high quality level 2 with a super long 28 foot cable, the longest I found. I had a 240v plug installed by our office back door and i can run the cable all the way to my parking spot. Build quality is good and the holster is a nice touch. I will update after I get more use out of it, but highly recommend so far.
