Acme Thunderer 660 Plastic Whistle Black

Compared to other whistles has a very sharp sound and loud. Perfect for a referee

Great whistle.

Brought a black metal acme thunderer and even though the sound was good, once the paint started to come off it started to lose it’s appeal. Also if you’re carrying it on a lanyard it’s a little noisy and you sound like an alpine cow walking down the path. The plastic one, doesn’t have that issue. It’s light, well made and also it works well on both sound levels.

I bought this for PE lessons and the end of playtimes. It's small and light and is not too bulky on my staff lanyard. It's very loud! I haven't quite worked out if it can be blown to make a less noisy blast but it certainly works to halt all the children on the playground and school field! Recommended.

Don't need to "Blow" Too much to get nice "Loud Sound".

My 3rd Acme whistle over my footballing years (lost the others at one stage or another) definitely pay to pay that little extra and buy a decent whistle.

Wanted LOUD whistles for a couple of female relatives living in London for their safety and security. Good, lightweight, well made and LOUD whistles. Everyone should carry one.

Ive ordered this whistle multiple times for myself and fellow coaches. Its small but load and has a fantastic sound. No pea inside which I prefer. Not much more to say except if you want a loud clear sounding whistle the you cant go w4ong with this one

As an official using this whistle I find the pitch of the whistle works well for indoors and also out in the open.

I was looking for an item that didn't need batteries, and I could keep it on my key chain when I'm out walking my dog late at night. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase the item. Well, I'm glad I did. This is a very loud whistle. It's the right size, it doesn't feel bulky, it fits nicely on my key chain, and it's great value for money. I'm happy with my purchase, the item is as described, and I would recommend this item as well as purchase it again if needed.

Many hours dancing in traffic and signaling folks with my Acme Thunder whistles. They're long-lasting, but over years the pea gets worn to a grain of sand ... LOL! Thus replacements always needed. You can even color coordinate them with your uniform. ;-) Great whistle.

This is a real whistle. It is very loud w/o much effort blowing. Like the ones sports referees use. It seems solid and tough too.

Love the whistle.....use it to train my dog......i want 4 more...
