Ionic Shower Head 3 Function (with 1.5m Hose)

I'm writing this having installed this new shower head 4 days ago so I have used it a few times since.Our shower hose sprung a leak which was at just the right level to spray me in the eye every time I used it so I initially set out just to replace the hose. I spotted this shower head on Amazon whilst I was searching for a new hose and thought that it was time to replace the lot. The existing shower head and hose were fitted with the shower and that must have been 20 years ago so I can't grumble! The shower I was fitting this to was a Mira Sport.The first thing to note is that I'm awful at D.I.Y. so I was expecting fitting this to be the sort of job which would involve much swearing and "blue smoke". It was the total opposite. Having switched off the power supply going to the shower I soon had the cover off and it proved to be an easy job to unscrew the old hose and screw the new one in its place. I had ordered the hose along with the shower head and washers for the hose were included (although I also ordered some additional spares - just in case). The entire process took me about two or three minutes.We live in a hard water area and I also suffer from eczema so I was keen to try a shower head with the "mineral balls" to see if they make any difference by removing chemicals in the water. Time will tell on that score.What I can say without a shadow of doubt is that this shower head has improved my showering experience quite a bit. I couldn't swear that the water has more pressure behind it because the sensation is really quite soft on the skin - a lovely "silky" feeling. However it does seem to somehow give me a more thorough drenching than the old shower head.It's quick and easy to swap between the three different modes the shower head provides. One is a fine "rain" from all over the shower head, another is a concentrated stream from the centre only and the third is a combination of the two.I ordered some replacement mineral balls along with the head and hose. I'm not quite sure how I will know when to replace them but it seems easy enough to unscrew the handle of the shower head to install the new balls.This head doesn't *exactly* fit the holder of our shower but it does rest in there securely enough to use without any problems.All in all I'm very happy. I've turned a leaky hose into an improved shower :)

Had one of these before which included coloured lights but no settings. The balls/beads definitely improve the quality/feel of our hard chalk water. The plastic casing is thick and very robust. I have used the rubber spray head for ease of cleaning, although our old one never "furred" or clogged during the 10 years we used it. Eventually (after years of use) the balls will need replacing, but I couldn't open the old one to do so. The three settings provide varying strength of flow and works well. The hose set required an adaptor to fit my unit, but was easily solved.

Bought this to see if it did what it says,,,IT DOES...you can feel the water is softer when flowing and it has the 3 different types of flow which is good.I bought this with the hose ..which is quite short and not the best quality,The head though is perfect,

Holes seem to get more clogged than the previous one

The water pressure is now actually worse than it was with the old shower head. And it wouldn't remotely fit in the shower head holder. Total waste of time and money.

Really loved it to start with. Then it fell apart and then couldn't get it back together, gave up and binned it

Lovely flow coming out of the shower head, however the holes do become slightly blocked causing the water to spray in different directions. May be the fact I live in a hard water area, but just thought I'd mention it.

Shoood have had one y e a r s ago. Value very good works as it says on box. NO PROBS. Well 2. Little ones on outside of box it says in side you will find Two. Washers. NONE INSIDE. Also PTFT PLUMING TAPE. NONE INSIDE. ?????????
