The Venture Bros.: The Complete Series (DVD)

I never liked this series when it first watched but I watched it young at like 15 so most of it flew over my head now watching at 27 and it was a blast I understood a lot more the jokes were great and the characters were a blast to see just evolve over the seasons just for them come back to certain things to get answered but also create more questions being created during their adventures. This also looks very good since animation can hold up even if it is a DVD but it is a small shame there isn't a blu ray version of this. The are negatives to this disc set and that being the way the discs are held they lay on top of each other and one of disc button doesn't hold well so if I were angle it both disc would fall out of the slot and that is reason I hate these type of cases since each disc holder has to hold two disc and the lay on top I believe each should have their own place in the collection rather than making a cheap holder for two but I shouldn't too harsh since it was a good deal that I purchased it for and the last negative I have is that this is series is over and I wish there could be more since it is a very good series that left some stones unturned I hope this series can have a come back.

Loved it I longer get adult swim so had 2 buy it

absolutely love this series and so glad to have a hard copy of it

Very funny show, with a lot of parodies of and references to cartoons you grew up with in the 60's, 70's, and early 80's, with its own unique twist on the characters and situations. Tends to lean toward adult humor and situations. Not necessarily sex, but that is definitely not shied away from, but also aging, depression, mental health, bathroom humor, teen rites of passage, and general zaniness. Only missing final coda stand-alone episode Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, but does include many extras such as actor commentary, creator interviews, and more.

Brother loves it

Do not buy these. Show is great, but the packaging and actual DVDs are completely terrible. Many of the snaps that hold the discs in place were totally crumbled when the set arrived. Additionally, the "pages" for the discs are not attached to the spine of the case. Easily the worst DVD set case I have ever encountered in my life. Many of the discs don't play properly, either skipping or just not starting at all. I couldn't even make a complete set of functional DVDs across two different sets. The most embarrassing, worthless set of DVDs I have ever seen. And it's the only option to physically own the whole series.

Amazing show

It was nice, but the season 7 disc 2 was damaged and would not play. so returning for another copy hopefully....show is good

Very very funny. Parodies many of the animated shows I grew up with.

Brilliant show. For the true fan experience you should wait at least three years between watching the seasons.

The discs are pretty bare bones, the packaging is sufficient but not super, yet for the price it's still a great buy. The whole series except for the movie which you have to get separately. Will there one day be a better set with the entire thing, more extras, cool packaging? Maybe, probably not, but as a fan of the series I now have it and that's enough .

Too bad it only lasted 7 seasons

Came quickly, however, despite what other reviews say this product is region locked.
