This laptop mount worked very well for my setup and I’m giving it 5 stars. I chose not to permanently screw it down, so instead I used heavy-duty zip ties and it still held securely. I also added a little extra support to help stabilize the mount while driving, and overall it performed great in my Jeep. One thing that really helped was adding adhesive felt padding to the metal laptop brackets so the laptop would not tap or vibrate against the metal while driving. I think including felt padding in the package would be a great addition because it helps protect the laptop and reduces noise. Another suggestion would be adding an adjustable Velcro support strap near the laptop holding bracket to help reduce shaking and movement while driving. I used a Velcro strap and zip tie support in my setup and it made the mount feel even more stable without taking away from the overall quality of the product. Overall, very solid mount and definitely worth it.

I was stuck between the single arm type of mounts, seemed too questionable and flimsy, but this style of mount is positively the best one for $100 and glad i went this way. The metal is thick and stiff heavy construction, only issue I had was swinging around at stops but just tighten the screws with the supplied Allen key. Other than that it's rock solid, little bit of assembly for about 20 mins but once it's one it feels like they best thing in the car. Mounted in a kia soul for mobile on the road gaming and general use, will be better in my truck. If I have a passenger it's easy to undo the 4 handle screws at the bottom base and it's out of the way. In a truck or van there's definitely more room. Go with this one.

The swinging around while driving is crazy. To anyone not returning it, I just drilled a hole through the side where the two poles connect (all the way through) , tapped it and have a set screw so I can lock it in to place while driving. Pretty annoying having to remove the screw to move it out of my way when not in use but all in all, it works.

Super easy install and seems like a good solid product.

The mount comes with 3 varying ways of attaching it to the seat bolts of your vehicle. The mount itself is quite hefty as it's all metal, nothing plastic. Whilst installing this mount in my vehicle, I technically broke the method that's used for screwing in to tighten the rod that holds the arm mount, however, I drilled a hole through the bars and put a bolt in there to secure it, no big deal. The laptop tray does hold a toughbook laptop quite well - but, it'll hold a smaller profiled laptop even better. This does have a little bit of "give" to it, depending on the way your seat bolts are, and the floor of your vehicle. You're suppose to mount it at a little bit of an angle where the entire platform is "falling backwards" towards the glovebox. Then, you right down the two screws in the back (which touch the floorboard) and that'll raise the platform level, giving it stability. As the arm mount to the laptop platform attaches via standard VESA mounting holes, I used it for mounting a touchscreen ELO panel, and then bought a second VESA "pole arm" that I mounted a keyboard to. I simply ran power and cables down to the laptop that I have stowed elsewhere, and setup to have it power on automatically when on AC power. Most people will not have that kind of setup, but as it's a work vehicle, it allows me much more room and more of a professional installation. The cons I have is that although the system is fairly easy to install (no drilling required in the floor or anywhere), the system requires some tinkering on your behalf to truly stabilize where it's not bouncing all over the place. Secondly, I'm not a huge fan of the two screws in the back that you tighten down against the floorboard for stability - you're not really able to get a true stable platform with these as the tighter you go, you'll still be raising the platform back towards the seat. The 4 wingnut bolts that attach the pole to the mounting plate should have been a bit larger - you'll have to crank on these things to get the pole stable, so you won't be able to remove them by hand once you're done (this is just notable if you're in a pinch, have someone riding in the passenger side and need to remove the bar; I'd keep some pliers handy). Perhaps a few more cons, but ultimately yes, this is a good mounting solution. If you're creative with it, you can really manipulate it to fit nearly anywhere too. It has large adjustability for nearly any kind of seat-width bolts. But, remember, check your passenger seat bolts first to ensure you've got front bolts and not studs. I recommended it. If you're going to have a computer in the vehicle, you won't be using it typically whilst you're driving anyways, so a little bumpy here or there isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Received the mount the other day. Building it out of the box is a little difficult due to the baggies with all the screws and parts are not labeled at all, so you're left to guess which screw to use that look similar but are only labeled in the guide as A-2 and A-3 or B-3 and C-2, etc. After the guessing game of screws in baggies, building it is easy, and installation is easy. My laptop fits perfectly on this mount and is secure. So why 2 out of 5 stars? There is no way to tighten the rotating stand/bar. So it's left to swing on its own when you make a turn in your vehicle. This has already caused the mount with my laptop on it to swing at high speeds in to my passenger door and in to my front dash. No matter where I look or what I do, there is no way to tighten it down to stop from swinging. Dangerous honestly.

Great and sturdy! Everyone that says the arm sways all over the place while driving definitely don’t have the screws all tightened or the plastic arm tightener screwed tight. It’s all secure and stays in place when done correctly

Then it was mounted I found out it was not so stabil. It flex and the tray will move even then you have screwed the screws to the max and a little more
