Takes some effort to punch a hole. But overall works fine and creates a perfect hole for fitting in the dile and finishing up a craft. The rings are sturdy, the right size that I needed and hold shape just fine.

The pliers are of good quality, although the grommets themselves are a bit lighter material. They give my painted banners a nice touch! I had to watch a yt video to make sure I installed them right, but it is actually super easy. The grommets seem durable enough for hanging items that are not too heavy. All in all, I am satisfied with my purchase!

The hole punch was too big but also didn’t work great. The pieces rip right out. I used something else to punch the hole. The pieces go together good and stay together. But they’re sharp on the backside. It does say in the directions it can be sharp and to hammer it out. You can’t just hammer it out. Would be fine in a spot that the it won’t be touching you at all. But I wanted these for clothing. So I’ll be returning.

Easy to use, wasted one practicing, plenty left. Light duty grommet to protect my wallet leather from ripping attaching a chain to it (cheaper than buying a $23 replacement of a $80 wallet) Was able to manually use the punch against a soft wood stop to go through 2 layers of leather and a lining. Follow the pictorial instructions.

I had never used one of these before, so I was looking for an all-in-one entry level item. This fit the bill! It provides the tool, hundreds of grommets, and clear instructions. I appreciate that it comes with both gold and silver toned grommets, so I can match the color to my cloth. All the ones I have used so far have worked great. I have only used them through a single layer of cloth. It seems as though it will hold up over time, even at this price point. The handles have been dipped to help grip.

The title says it’s good for fabric but the instructions inside say it’s not. I was wanting to use it for badges. I was tempted to return it. I had a duplicate badge and thought I’d try it. Using the hole-making tool that was supplied with the kit worked well, but not by hammering it as the instructions say to do. For a badge, it worked really well to rotate the tool back and forth, applying pressure as you do, until the hole is cut. It was helpful to do this on an old magazine, where it’s easy and not a problem to cut through a little too far and not damage your table or counter. This way you can make sure you’re all the way through the badge on all sides of the hole. The tool seems fairly sharp. Putting the grommet in was really easy with the supplied tool. Glad I made this purchase.
