My cats absolutely loved these. They are realistic and provide lots of fun for them. I make them hop around with the wand and they go crazy. They do have 2 hard plastic antennae which I cut off, they didn't like those to much. Otherwise a great product and will buy again.

The set of mini insects and hummingbird is one of my cat’s absolute favorite wand toys! They’re small and look just like real little insects and a hummingbird, which instantly triggers his hunting instincts. He goes completely crazy for it! The size and movement of the original set feel much more “real” to him, which is probably why he loves it so much. Five stars for it! Because he loved that set so much, I decided to buy the other 1.57" mini insect set for him to try something new, but it ended up being quite disappointing. It’s noticeably bigger and a bit too heavy, so the movement doesn’t feel as natural or enticing. My cat quickly lost interest, and a few times while I was waving it, I accidentally hit him, which made him keep his distance afterward.

These look a bit like fishing lures, and the kittens played with the grasshopper for the longest time (after I left), longer than with any other toy. Kudos, these are well made to resemble the poor insects who fall often prey to baby cats.

I was originally hesitant to buy this toy since there are so many pieces to it that would appear to come off easily. However, after receiving the product that is far from the truth. When receiving cat toys, I always make sure to pull on the different parts to ensure my cat will not be ingesting anything on accident. Nothing on this toy would budge! One of the best parts that I’m extremely impressed by is the fact that the legs are secured using a wire that is clamped down by metal. This means that they are extremely secure with no chance of your cat being able to simply rip it off. Even the antennas on the toy won’t come out. I would say that I will be buying this product again, but I’m not even sure if I’ll need to since so far it’s held up great. My cat goes absolutely crazy for this toy. It’s definitely one of the more realistic ones that I have.

Grasshopper is a big hit! Gets my little one pretty excited as it looks pretty realistic. (Just dont leave it on the ground and gibe yourself a heart attack lol) minus 1 star because I imagine if you have a chewer the small silicone legs could get bitten off. I wouldn't recommend leaving them unattended with this toy. Just put away when not in use and its a winner!

My cats LOVE these grasshoppers. But I want to also add a warning. One of my cats got so involved in playing with it attached to a wand that his claw got stuck in the clasp and by the time I realized it, it was wrapped around his paw. Fortunately, he's pretty chill, and I was able to get it off, but it was hurting him as he was growling while I was freeing him. I cut the toy off of the clasp and just gave the grasshopper to them to play with by themselves. These metal clasps are not a good idea for cats to play with. A simple cloth loop would be safer to attach to a wand.

I have 3 cats, 2 kittens and a 11 year old cat. The kittens obviously loved these but what surprised me was how much my 11 year old cat, Chloe, loved them. When I had them on a cat wand she would catch it and try to walk away with it and hide it for herself. She never done this before. All 3 cats would catch them and run away with them to play with them all by themselves. I got 3 grasshoppers and for how much the cats played with them and chew on them they lasted a very long time. When I first got them I thought they looked flimsy and might be a choking hazard but they have lasted over 1 month. 1 grasshopper is missing its wings but the legs have stayed on all of them. Very life like on a wand, worth the money. I have ordered more.

WARNING if your cat likes to eat rubber hair bands, either don't buy this or if you do you have to take the legs off otherwise they will try to eat them. My cat loves this, but she killed it pretty quickly and she ate a leg off. So out came the scissors and took them off.

Warning!!! This toy is easily breakable, it lasted under an hour of play time with our cat. He ended up ingesting the entire toy, which required an expensive vet visit to induce vomiting (this only has a 40-50% chance of working on cats). He ended up throwing it up on his own almost 24 hours later, avoiding the need of an endoscopy or surgery, but still causing a lot of stress on his little body. Be wary of the quality of this toy.
