Living proof Restore Repair Leave-In

My hair is almost waist length, and it is 80% white (I am a gramma). Some natural color remains. It is 2A or 2B. It is also porous to a fault. I usually have to follow natural hair care advice, as it seems people with natural hair are the only ones who experience the same issues I do: dryness, breakage, straw feels. My entire life, I have never been able to grow my hair this long, as it would break off around the bottom of my shoulder blades. I shampoo based on my scalp, which ends up being five days apart, ideally. The problem is that by the end of the second day, the bottom eight inches of my hair are drying out, no matter what. I pre-poo, shampoo and condition, and post-poo with really good products. I even add marula oil into my conditioner, which helps a lot. I seal with jojoba. Still, my hair dries out. Lately, though, when I get ready for bed, I dampen the bottom half of my hair, and I massage in a small amount of this Living Proof mixed with some marula or jojoba, depending on how my hair feels. Then I put a loose braid up high and sleep with a super soft satin cap. For the first time ever, my hair at the near-waist length is not brittle by shampoo day. Of all the leave-in conditioners I have used--Olaplex, Keranique included--this one seems best suited for a small amount of daily use, without serious buildup. My hair feels soft and less dry. Yes, I can tell there is a product on my hair, but it is so much better than being straw. If anyone feels that this product is sticky, it may be you are not adding water or dampening hair first, or you are using too much. This conditioner, like hair oils, needs water as a carrier to get it under the scales of your hair to where it can go to work. So get that hair a bit wet. If this works for me, someone with awfully porous hair, then it really does aid in slippage and restoring moisture. Consider experimenting with the amount of water or product until you figure out your best ratio. Oh, and the best part is that it washes out well with a good shampoo or pre-poo treatment. My Olaplex 3 still gets in there every time. Wholeheartedly recomment.

Great leave in conditioner. One pump is enough. Livingproof always smells AMAZING and it never leaves the hair greasy, even mine, and I have fine hair. It’s a smaller bottle but you simply need a tiny amount to put through your ends before drying your hair. Put it on and forget about it, it’s that easy! I find that conditioners leave your hair a bit weighed down and heavy, that’s why this one works so well…it’s very lightweight and will last you a long time.

This is a great hair repair product. A little expensive, but I am glad I bought two (one for travel and one for home). I use this and when my hair dries it feels so soft and silky (and doesn't feel heavy nor greasy.) It has a nice pleasant scent. I do recommend this product especially if you have thick hair (with thick strand of hair)

Love this product. If your like me and don’t wash your hair daily. I use a couple squirts when I get out the shower. I have hair past my shoulders. Could be that I just got lucky with good hair but my hair drys soft and without frizz. I have been doing this along with the Moroccan oil everytime I wash for 2yrs

Reduced my breakage fast. I use 1-2 pumps on towel-damp mid-lengths to ends. My stylist noticed fewer split ends at my last appointment. Pros: lightweight, de-frizzes, smoother ends. Con: pricier; thick hair may need more.

This product really works! Leaves my hair well conditioned and healthy.

I've always used this brand for many years. I was bit disappointed. There wasn't a product cover on the inside, it leaked into the cover, some product was lost.
