I bought these because yesterday I broke my Home Secretary's precious cuticle clippers trying to cut an ingrowing toenail: they had a really slim, pointy design to the jaws and that provided easy access but one of the jaws literally snapped when I applied pressure. I incurred the wrath of the Home Secretary and learned a powerful lesson. These clippers when faced by the thick old nail that broke the jaws of the lesser tool barely broke into a sweat and sliced through it with ease. The ratio of handle to jaw length provides plenty of leverage and the curve of the handles provides a secure grip. These clippers are the correct tool for the job and they appear very well-made. They are good value for money and I highly recommend them.
