Dylon Machine Dye 350g 12 Velvet Black

When I stained this silk top There was nothing the dry cleaner could do. But Drylon black did a good job covering the stain. The fabric was originally deep purple but the black worked great. When it was wet it appeared NOT to work and I nearly ditched the top but when it dried it was perfect.

Wanted to refresh a faded black denim jacket. Followed the instructions precisely and absolutely nothing. A waste of money and time. Avoid, just don't take the risk of being totally dissappinted... and ripped off.

I've used this dye three times - to dye faded grey jeans to blue, and to dye clothes back to black. You need to read the directions and have enough dye to dye the amount of clothes. The first time, I didn't order enough dye, so the 2nd & 3rd times I bought 3 blue pods to dye 2 pairs of jeans, and 5 pods to dye 2 pairs of black jeans & a shirt. I have a front loading washing machine. I followed the instructions as given, washing the clothes first. Because I had multiple pods, I opened up the pods & poured the contents of the pods directly in the machine (this is what the instructions say). I used gloves the entire time as the dyes will stain your hands. I ran 4 loads total. To get the dyes out of the washing machine, I used bleach in the last cycle I ran. I also had to wipe down the washing machine with paper towels that had bleach on them. The dye job was perfect and I'm buying more black dye now for another set of clothes. YES buy this if you have a front loading machine.

I’m not sure what these are meant to do maybe just revive worn out black clothing but I bought it because I’m a hairdresser and I have a lot of bleach stains on my black clothes and I hoped this would cover them but it didn’t do that I don’t really know what it did, maybe In a less severe situation they would be good

I would give this product five stars because it is a far superior product in ease and clean-up than that of its competitors. The Dylon Dye has restored my favourite clothes and I will buy more. I do need to plan ahead because the product takes weeks to ship but I will buy again.

Horrible product! Very messy! And worst of all, instead of dying my blanket it just stained random areas of the fabric with large splotches and tiny dots so that now it looks like mold. Going to have to throw away the blanket now that cost me over $100! Wish I had never used it! Dye your large items with Rit in a large container or don't dye them at all.

Worked like a charm! I had ordered this dress and it was white. I thought I could keep it clean and proceeded to stain it with everything under the sun. I only used half the container since I was only dyeing one item and kept it in a spare bin with hot water. I saturated the dress in the water then dumped half the container in and let it sit for about an hour. Followed the instructions on the package for dying, washing and cleaning then dried. The dress looks great and the washer has had no issues! Will definitely repurchase.

Used this on my cottons and linens, followed the instructions exactly. Now, instead of turning black, everything is blue-ish purple. Huge waste of money considering how expensive just one pod is :(

Easy - less hassle than it used to be! No salt, no mess, no fuss. Pop in clothes (no more than 600g of fabric per pod) and the pod and run a 40 degree cycle. True black - no issues at all. I used 2 pods for 3 separate pieces across 2 loads. All came out perfectly.

IT WORKED! i did everything step by step and it worked. result is truly amazing. will buy more for black clothes, 100% recommend. saved my hoddie for 800 AED.

I was really impressed with this fabric dye. I had some shorts and trousers that had faded over time and were starting to look old and tired, so I thought I’d give this a try rather than replace them. The colour that came out was fantastic and really brought the clothes back to life. They look refreshed and almost like new again, giving them a whole new lease of life. The colour was rich and even, and the results were better than I expected. The picture doesn't do them justice. The instructions were very easy to follow, and I particularly liked how straightforward the whole process was. It was so much easier than I anticipated, and being able to use it in the washing machine made it really convenient. It didn't leave any residue in my washing machine so I was able to use it afterwards, once the process had finished. A great way to revive faded clothes rather than throwing them away. I’m really pleased with the results and will definitely use Dylon dye again.
