eSun is where its at!
I've used a variety of eSun filaments at this point, mostly PLA and PLA plus, this is the first ABS I've gotten from them and the first ABS I've ever printed with and let me tell you, this company really has their filaments down pat. Everything I've ever printed with eSun filaments has turned out phenomenally. And with this ABS, I truly expected a fight. Its supposed to be more difficult to print with due to warping and all that good stuff, but this ABS+ formula has everything you could desire for the perfect print. Its strong, has a beautiful matte sort of finish that makes it soooo much nicer looking than black PLA, its temperature resistant, AND holy cow is it easy to print with! I ran basically default profiles for everything in Orca and didnt have the slightest problem. Even printing without a brim, raft, or skirts, my first few prints went off without a hitch, which truly surprised me after fighting SOOOO hard with PETG right before this. I will say that ABS is traditionally considered to have some hydroscopic tendencies from what I've read, although not nearly as much a PETG for instance. I can't really say I experienced that with this filament. To be entirely honest, I threw it in the drier before hand anyway. But with PETG it seemed like if I didnt keep the drier cranked on full blast 24/7, it was so wet by the time you came back to print it was basically unprintable (depending on the brand). With this ABS, I forgot to turn the drier on a couple different times and never really saw a huge difference at all. On some layers it would seem to get a little flakey, if that makes sense. Almost as if it weren't laying down in a perfect layer or something. But it was, check out the photos for proof. It truly resulted in nothing but fantastic results on every print despite my observation of the strange flake that seemed to come off some of the solid infill layers as it printed. As I said, I'm rather new to this, so maybe all ABS just does that. I did have to add a brim to one print that warped a bit because it had such a small footprint on the buildplate AND because that side of the plate ended up slightly out of level when I checked it. I re-leveled the bed, added a small brim, and the next print went off without a hitch. Finally, ABS has a reputation for smelling horrid... Though while this filament does give off a faint "burnt plastic" kinda smell after you've been printing it legit all day, to me the smell wasnt potent enough to bother me in the least. Then again, my nose may be screwy, cause I can inhale resin fumes like its going out of style too without the slightest side effect. For the time being at least... lol. (I do use PPE while handling resin, Im just pointing out that my nose doesnt seem to be quite as sensitive to it as other people's does.) For the newbs out there like myself who have never printed in ABS before, I have added my basic slicer settings via screenshot, but if your working in Orca particularly, your basically fine to go with the default ABS profile and the default for your printer and nozzle. I would suggest turning the speed down just a hair, but it prints fine at full speed too! And MAKE SURE your cooling settings are dialed in or you risk cooling too much and causing warpage. Same goes for printing with an enclosure, it is ABSOLUTLE NECESSARY with ABS to avoid warpage. I would also recommend using a PEI plate for great adhesion, personally I used a textured PEI plate and had amazing results with minimal failure. I for one will be purchasing ABS from eSun again in the very near future, and in all honesty, I don't believe I'll go back to printing black in PLA at all unless I just need something with a gloss finish to it. This matte finish on the ABS from eSun is amazing, and I love it, and I want more of it. Haha.

This stuff looks so smooth! Not as easy to print as PLA but easier than regular ABS and doesn’t smell as bad. I’m on my second spool for my Voron build and looks great. I had trouble with sticking at first so it has a learning curve. Aqua net super hold changed my game

Tangles + inconsistent diameter = damage
Read the reviews. You'll see a handful of cases where negligence from esun turned into more than just failed prints. I've got around 10k hours of printing across my handful of printers. Just lost a (brand new) hardened steel extruder gear because of this junk filament. I literally just upgraded the gear in my p1s. I got 1 print through it with just regular PLA. Then I loaded this in. Made it about halfway through a 4 hour print when it got stuck due to a tangle. Fixed the tangle and got stuck on the reprint from what appears to be inconsistent filament diameter. While I could write several paragraphs about all of the troubleshooting I've done to end up with this conclusion, I'm just going to stop here and suggest anyone reading this go pick another brand. I'm ordering a new gear and going back to Polymaker. I guess you get what you pay for.

Prints like a dream
This stuff is great. It’s my first time actually printing abs and I’m glad I picked this. Between the amazing color and almost no problems I really couldn’t be happier. I bought the green color too and am hoping for more hi- lighter style colors.

Best with an enclosure
I had problems with intralayer adhesion with this material, unless I printed in an enclosure. Be patient and use slower speeds. This material doesn't appear to be very strong in flexure, but I would rate its impact resistance and other strength characteristics as very high. As long as you are not using it in roles where it is prone to flexure, I think it should work great. It does put off a higher than average amount of fumes, though. Use in a ventilated area.

Gutes ABS Filament
Zuerst einnmal, ich bin noch nicht ganz so stark drin im Druck mit ABS. Da ich bisher nur dieses ABS+ gekauft habe, kann ich keinen Vergleich zu anderen ABS Filamenten ziehen. Meine Setups: Ender 3 Pro mit BMG Clone Extruder in Bowden Config, smooth PEI sheet, E3D Revo CR, Klipper. Tronxy X5SA Pro mit BMG Clone in Bowden Config, Stock Glass Bett, E3D Revo CR, Klipper Firmware. Beide Drucker sind Open Frame, haben also keine Enclosure. Auf dem Ender druckt es fantastisch. Ich drucke bei 270°C Nozzle, 100°C Bett mit Draft Shield bei 120mm/s everything. Haftung auf PEI ist super, wie man es sich wünscht. Theoretisch gehen bis zu 144mm/s, aber da hatte ich schon ein paar Probleme bezüglich der Zuverlässigkeit. Dank draft shield kühlt es recht gleichmäßig runter und warpt bei mir gar nicht. Auf dem Tronxy bin ich noch am tüfteln, den habe ich auch noch nicht so kalibriert, wie ich es gerne hätte. Wenn es haftet, haftet es doch recht gut - außer ich drucke zu schnell. Dann hilft aber Haarspray (Ich verwende Taft Haarlack power 5) doch recht gut. Auch hier drucke ich mit draft shield und hatte, wenn die Teile raus kamen, keine Probleme. Aber wie gesagt, der Drucker ist noch nicht verlässlich für mich. Auch hier drucke ich mit 270°C Nozzle, 100°C Bett, aber mit max 80mm/s. DAdurch, dass ich immer den Draft shield verwende, fällt bei mir auch etwas Müll an - diesen löse ich in einem Glas mit Aceton zu einer dicken ABS Slurry auf, wenn ich was kleben oder abdichten will. Kleinere Supportreste oder dergleichen löse ich in einem seperaten Glas zu einer dünnen ABS-Slurry auf - wenn doch nix am Bett halten will. Einfach mit nem Pinsel dünn aufs Bett aufgetragen, das klebt wie sonst was. Wie erwähnt, das ABS+ löst sich in Aceton. Auch lässt es sich gut schleifen, auch Löcher Bohren sind kein Problem. Heat set Inserts klappen auch sehr gut. Mit meiner dicken ABS Slurry lässt es sich super kleben, wenn mal doch was bricht oder man 2 Teile zusammenfügen muss. Smoothen mit Acetondämpfen habe ich bisher noch nicht gemacht - ABS ist für mich eher ein Material für mechanisch oder thermisch belastete Teile. Die Farbe "Feuerwehrrot" habe ich mir zwar etwas leuchtender vorgestellt, aber bin vollkommen mit der Farbe zufrieden - die ist für mich mehr dafür da, das Material bei Drucken und Filament auf einen Blick zu erkennen. Wenn es farbig werden soll, wird geschliffen und lackiert. Wie man über ABS sagt, auch dieses ABS+ stinkt beim drucken. Ich sitze im Raum mit beiden Druckern am laufen mit dem ABS+ und es lässt sich aushalten - die Wärme ist aktuell (27°C Außentemperatur) schlimmer. Alles in Allem kann ich dieses Filament empfehlen, wie fast alles von eSUN. Einzig das ePLA Matte kann ich bisher nicht empfehlen, dazu habe ich aber bereits eine Rezension verfasst.

surprisingly excellent
printed at 40m/s, 250 degrees. Plate at 105 degrees. Unbelievable result. My printer was Troodon 400 semi pro level.

No added protection, or even a piece of sticky tape on the factory box.
The product was perfectly OK, as expected, as I have purchased this several times before; the packaging by Amazon however is not satisfactory: it is shipped in the original factory box without any other protection, and even NO sticky tape applied, to prevent it from opening during transport. Fortunately, it didn't!

S'imprime facilement à haute vitesse en caisson
Voilà quelques bobines que je passe, avec succès, à la fois sur une Delta (Flsun QQS-Pro améliorée mais pas fermée) et sur une CoreXY (QiDi X-MAX3). Le filament supporte des vitesses intéressantes tout en permettent de garder une bonne adhésion entre les couches. Il vaut mieux un caisson surtout lorsque la température ambiante baisse, ça reste de l'ABS. Les résultats sont nettement meilleurs sur une machine fermée. Point important à mon sens : la régularité de la qualité du filament sur la durée, pas de mauvaise surprise à devoir modifier des réglages d'une bobine à l'autre. Cerise sur le gateau, eSun fournit un livret avec en dernière pages des informations techniques nécessaires à paramètrer au plus juste son slicer pour leur filament ainsi que ses caractérisques mécaniques. C'est très utile si on fait des pièces techniques. Dernier point important aussi : le prix est raisonnable. Rapport qualité prix au top pour mon setup et usages. Je n'ai pas testé d'autres marques étant très satisfait des résultats obtenus avec cet ABS+. On ne change pas une équipe qui gagne :) Edit : le livret avec les informations techniques concernant les filaments a disparu avec le dernières bobines, elles en carton de bonne facture. Dommage, un lien vers ces infornations inscrit sur la bobine serait le bienvenu.
