Bald Eagle Shaver

I gave this bald eagle shaver along with a spare replacement blade to my husband for Christmas 2017. I am writing this review 6 months later to say that he loves it and his head looks the best and smoothest that I have seen since he's been bald (and that's been about 10 years now). Just follow the directions for care and use. I also recommend using a good moisturizer after use to help soothe the scalp and keep it looking great. From what I have learned from him: don't let your hair get too long and it works well without any "pre-cutting' your hair which defeats the point of getting this shaver (if you have to do twice the work). Don't go longer than three or four days between cuts if your hair grows fast and it's flawless. I went with this model to try the shaver out and see if it lived up to the hype before diving into the more expensive model (platinum I believe). Honestly, this one works just fine!Pros: Fast, Easy to use and care for.Only need one tool to shave his head (not trimmers plus hair clippers).Didn't hurt or bump up my husband's scalp (he is Africa American if that helps anyone).Small enough to fit into the "man case" he has now so there was no need to buy any accessories.Portable and no hair all over the place.Cons: Expensive but worth it for the convenience and performance

Update:. After about a month of usage, this died on on me. I called customer service and and they told me to pull the razor off, once I did that the razor broke. Which ended with me having to purchase a new razor at my own cost. I got the new razor and I placed it on the shaver. I fully charged it. I went to go use it and the darn thing doesn't work. With or without the razor on it. I told customer service that I wanted a refund and they told me that I was past my time. Complete garbage and horrible customer service. Only reason why this has a star is because it's mandatory to have at least one.Bought this and been using it the whole week. Love it so far. Shaves my daily routine down to about 20-30 minutes, instead of 30-40 minutes just to shave my head and face. Doesn't get as close as using a regular razor but does the job. Only wish it would work better on my face and neck. Definitely well deserving of the 4 stars.

It's been over three weeks now that I have been using this product. More than the recommended time they suggest to get good results. Even though it does a good job shaving. I notice it doesn't give a close shave like the Gillette does. When I'm done shaving, I can feel that it's not shaving close and misses some places on my head and face. By the end of the day, my beard and hair can be seen. I was shaving yesterday when I notice something was missing with one of the round shaving heads. Where the logo and something that seems to look like a disc that goes in the middle where the actual shaving happens came off. I looked around to see where the missing part went, but couldn't find it. Examining it further, I touched the other head and another disc cover(sorry I don't know how to describe it any better,) simply came off. I couldn't believe my eyes in less than a month the product is showing wear and tear. On a lighter note, the Bald Shaver is still working as it was made to do, just not giving me a close enough shave as it should. It is possible that performance depends on the type of skin. My opinion is that this is a good product to use. I suggest you look at other products before you use this one. I am no expert, but it seems that they just combined a few parts and it into a working shaver. I wished they did some research and invested in more better parts to offer a better quality product.

Yup, I am going bald. Have been for about 15 years. Always used traditional razors, but I kept missing spots or irritating my skin.This thing took a little getting used to, but now I can shave my head in the shower in about five minutes without irritation.The battery lasts FOREVER, too. I think I charge it maybe once a month? Maybe even less than that.It's also completely waterproof, and you can clean it as you shave - just get some water in your hand and dip the shaving heads in. Bob's your uncle, and this thing is clean.Great build quality, and it's really cut down on the time it took to shave my head.. plus I get a closer shave.

I was using balding clippers from Wahl to shave my head but that can be a little cumbersome so I wanted something to make my shave quicker and easier. This fits comfortably in the hand and makes it so easy to shave! The cleaning is effortless and the battery life is long lasting too. The only thing I didn't like was that it doesn't do as well on my facial hair so I still use the clippers for that. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who shaves their head daily.

It doesn't get as close as I was hoping. I am on chemo therapy. Not all of my hair has fallen out. But a lot has so I shaved it. And iwas using a throw away razor every few days to avoid people seeing the bald patches. I bought this thing it would save time and pain. Wrong. It takes 3time's as long. And it feels like it's pulling the hairs. Like when you use a razor against the grain. I think my boys were dull when it arrived. I thought about buying a new head to seeif that helps but I've already invested so much $ and it doesn't do what it said.

Update - still a terrible razor. I threw it away and took a chance on their Pitbull Gold which is a damn fine razor, get that one instead!Original - I had been using the original Skull Shaver Smart for many years with wonderful results. It would give a quick close shave, with little effort. I had no quelms of replacing it with the Smart X when my original finally stopped working, but the new shaver is a dissappointment. I must repeatedly shave the same spot over and over. It takes at least three to four times longer to shave with the Smart X than the original Smart. I have no idea why, it uses the same heads and I have changed out the one it came with to one I had used satisfactorily, but it still barely shaves. I had higher hopes.
