No noticeable latency and no setup required
If you have a device with only a USB TO HOST MIDI connection then this is your solution. No discernable latency and nothing to setup. Be sure you have the proper USB B power input cable (this was bundled with it).

Simple, solid USB Host Bridge.
This is a nice solid device that just works.

Works like it should
Works great. I wish all keyboards still came with 5 pin midi outs though, a lot of my gear is older and uses the old-school midi inputs. But this device works well.

Plug and Play
Super easy to setup and has very low latency. I'm using it in my modular synth rig to connect an Akai LPD8 to an Erica Synths Midi Trigg.

Midi in does not work. Product in images not what was received
The midi in does not seem to work. Cannot go from midi 5 pin input to usb. That is the feature I needed. According to documentation, this mode needs to be enabled by pushing in the hidden button. This button is shown on the product images, but is not on the unit I received. I received a doremidi UMH-10. The images appear to depict a UMH-21.

Fa il suo lavoro. Consigliato.
Consigliato.

Easily MIDI up keyboards like the old days
When Midi was invented you could plug two (or more) keyboards (assuming they were equipped with Midi sockets) together and play one with the other. Simples. Then along came the 2000s and keyboard manufacturers switched to USB Midi. WHY??? You had to use a computer as an intermediary. Not ideal, particularly if said computer runs one of those ghastly operating systems like Windows. This little box solves all that. Use the supplied USB-B-to-USB-A cable, USB-B into a keyboard with only a USB midi socket. Plug USB-A end into the box. Connect an old school 5-pin Midi cable between the box and a keyboard with 5-pin Midi socket. You'll need another USB-A-to-USB-B (not supplies) to power the box. Then, hey presto, you can play your keyboards with Midi just like the old days :)
