A functional upgrade for a V6

Fitment isn’t 100% perfect and the LED for the Max power button isn’t as visible as before, however, for the price point I absolutely can’t complain, 2 brand new filters and the parts required to upgrade to the HEPA filter is very good value for money in my opinion. Plus my old non-HEPA filter disintegrated during cleaning so this upgrade kit not only saved me from buying a brand new Dyson but now it runs better than before! Was very easy to fit and replacing the filters in future will be even easier! Would highly recommend this for anyone thinking about giving their old V6 a new lease on life!

Four stars because there were no instructions in the box. But there were tools and other items. Seems to work find with no loss of suction (the black filters in the original part had disintegrated - bad form on the part of Dyson not to offer replacements for these filtres, so you have to pay way more than the few pence it must cost for replacements. Anyway, a good solution to salvaging a stick vacuum cleaner that would have had to have been thrown away. I'll update this review if anything goes wrong with the new parts. It would be useful to know where to buy replacements for the HEPA filters, but the adverts given very little information. We'll see!

Old Dyson DC62 had stopped working, or at least worked intermittently, and I feared the motor needed to be replaced. As a last resort, I took it apart, cleaned it thoroughly, and used this kit to reassemble. Works fine now, long may it last. The original Dyson has a foam filter in the rear which is not accessible without prying off the back, and this kit replaces that with a better filter that screws onto the back and so is easy to change.

Love this upgrade as the old pre motor filter was starting to be a bit crap and stank of perfume so this coming with a new pre filter and a add on post motor filter is brilliant. No more smell out of the vaccum and it reduces the noise slightly. The installation was simple you only need a screwdriver and something to pry the old back of the vaccum off. Would completely recommend if you want to rejuvenate your old V6 and add an upgrade and keep your old vaccum still running in tip top shape.

Watched the video on how to add the upgrade and filter..several times pausing as I got to each stage. It was a bit tricky getting the old piece off it felt like it was going to break but once this was gone the rest was easy. Really pleased that I will in the future be able to replace the filter easily.. in someone’s comment I think they said once they d carried out the upgrade the boost button didn’t work. However mine does so I’m happ6..

Pre and post filters appear good quality. Disassembled our unit before receiving this pack so cannot comment on the tools but they equally appear good quality. The only issue is that the red displacer which fits over the PCB does not fit my unit which is a DC59 - the PCB is a few mm too big and the cables apertures do not align to the cables. However, given the original post filters didn't have this protector I have simply left it off. All slotted back together well and appears to work well and certainly much easier to maintain but couldn't give it full stars due to the red bracket not fitting. Very happy with it.

My old handheld Dyson was pulsing so it was either the battery or the fact it was full of fluff. So I followed a YouTube video and took the entire thing apart to clean it. And while it was easy and satisfying to do, I broke 3 things. 2 being gaskets in the cyclone part (not available on Amazon but bought elsewhere) and the last bit being the exhaust filter for the motor. This turned into gunk from age. This part simply fits on where you took the old bits off and give you a quieter and more dust free exhaust filter. It now sounds like the newer model a family member has and should keep the motor working better for longer. Well worth it to keep the old model going, Vs a replacement which is a few hundred pounds.

Great upgrade for the older model. Hepa filter and red cap fitted easily with clear instruction. Would recommend highly if you want to upgrade your old Dyson SV03

Je trouve ça super de pouvoir maintenant changer le filtre arrière. J'avais un ancien modèle dyson v9 avec impossibilité de changer ou nettoyer le filtre arrière. Après avoir galeré à retirer celui qui était en place d'origine, celui là permettra de nettoyer ou changer de filtre plus facilement. Taille parfaite en grand modèle.

Made a terrific difference to the suction power of the cleaner, Easy to follow instructions and all necessary parts and tools supplied. Very pleased with the result. The exhaust filter is now easily accessible.
