ChatGPT For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/tech))

This book helped me understand what ChatGPT is. I keep seeing this in various media but had no idea of what it was or what it can do. This book was very helpful to translate complex computerized thinking , code writing, and use into understandable information for on computer people. Recommend this as a way to understand how computers are going to reshape our future everyday life.

As others have stated here, many of the illustrations in the book are so small they are laughable. It’s as though a Wiley accountant said, “We can make more money if we shrink the size of book” without even opening the book to see the effect it would have on the content of the diagrams inside.On the other hand, the book is well written and I gained a good deal of knowledge about ChatGPT from the information and wisdom that the author shared from her experience. A lot of work and effort went into the creation of the content (including the illustrations).I am sure that Pam Baker is disappointed in the final outcome of the book, because the publishing house and not the author make cost-saving decisions like that.

Lots more drawn on explanation & less prompt options. The word “ilk” is used over and over in the wrong context. The images are too small to read. Good basic explanations to set the stage, but more examples would have been appreciated.

This book does exactly what you need: explaining all you need to learn about Chatgpt and other AI language models. I feel like I've learned a lot about this useful bit of technology. A must read for those interested in Chatgpt or for hobbyists of any kind.

Absolutely a piece of junk. It is poorly printed. The examples and Figure Illustrations are so tiny and faint, that they are difficult to read without a magnifying glass

Published in June 2023, this is already an out of date artifact in every way - find something published in the last few months. The author is also obsessed with misinformation and “trusted sources”, which to her probably constitutes the NYT and the government. Whatever…

This is an easy to read and understandbook for a beginner using AI for writing.
