It works on old Apple Cinema Displays!
It works! This cable worked to connect my old Apple Cinema Display to my new MacBook Pro - exactly what I needed. Plugged it in and the display lit up and connected as a second monitor - what more can I ask for?!?

I replaced an old Intel Mac mini with an M1 Mac mini which required a different adapter to connect to a 24" Apple LED Cinema Display. This adapter works flawlessly.Design and build quality are excellent and makes this adapter a great value.

USBC-MDP Adapter
Works for Apple LED Cinema Displays that have mini DisplayPort connections going to Mac Studios. This is not for Thunderbolt connections. Apple TB3-2 adapter did not work for the same scenario. This can display 4k. Unknown brand or build quality, but good price, secure connection, and small footprint.

This little dongle saved me thousands!!! I thought I had to buy new displays!
so I just upgraded my old lady laptop from 2015 to a new MacBook Pro with all the bells and whistles, a huge but needed investment. I spoke to the apple store guy about my old cinema displays and if there were any adaptors for them at all, the guy just laughed me off and said no. which meant if I wanted to work with a display id have to upgrade those too and that would be another several thousand RIP.I was fully prepared to make that investment till I decided to look around here and try to find an adaptor and I come to find this one, as a complete shot in the dark, I ordered one. after all, if it doesn't work at least I can return it BUT to my amazement these suckers WORKKKK. these displays are from the early 2010s and they are still working for my laptop!! I got a second one too for my other display too, and I couldn't be happier.The best purchase I made, saved me over 2k. Dear Lord, now I'm annoyed at the apple store guy for getting my hopes crushed at the store.

I was looking for a cable that would connect a USB C port to my Apple monitor, and this did exactly what I needed it to. I had tried other cables that didn't last very long. However, this one suited my needs. The quality is too good for the price.

Does not work with Thunderbolt 2
These will not work when hooking up an Apple Thunderbolt 27" monitor. newer USB-C ports on Macs are Thunderbolt 3 and 4 so if you are looking at this to use an Apple Display like me it will not work.
