Adjustable Power Lifting Bed Backrest for Elderly Patient Injured

We got this for my wife while she was recovering from a C-section. As others have noted the cushions that it comes with are very uncomfortable, but the elevating mechanism itself works well and is very easy to put together. But we purchased a 3 inch twin memory foam topper and a 2 inch pillow topper for a total of about $100, and the result is very comfortable and functional. Normally I would review something like this 4*s, but there is nothing better available at a remotely similar price point and the fix is so simple, this plus a couple toppers can get you a great outcome.

This is the best thing we’ve purchased for my 91 year old mother. No more stuffing 8 pillows behind her. Easy to operate. Up and down buttons. Slowly raises and slowly lowers. But not too slow. Quiet motor. Sturdy but not too heavy. It is a little hard. I put the bed alarm, a twin pillow topper, then pee pad. Nothing to puffy then too high and she gets her knee caught as she’s getting on the bed. I use fitted sheet clips to clip the pees pads down so they hold all layers down. They don’t bunch up. Can keep her at an angle to keep her breathing clear.

I purchased for my husband. I thought would be nice. I purchased I think in jan 2025. I should of tried before i put on his bed. He passed Away sept 2nd then I put on my bed. I cried how uncomfortable it was I torched him for 9 month . Take it from me don't believe all the reviews. When we buy something for a love one . Try to test first. My husband had dementia. He never told me hoe uncomfortable it was.

We bought this for my mother who needed help getting sat upright to eat. It works and it supports weight well. Unfortunately, the frame is so long that once you start raising it, the person on the bed gets pushed down the bed. We got it for a daybed initially, and it pushed my mom's feet a good six inches out over the end of the daybed. If you can mount it so that it sticks six inches past the head of the bed, then you can use it without being pushed off the bed. I ended up using it for a few days after I broke my knee, and I had to layer pillows on it. There's only about an inch of padding on top of the frame and the molded back. Very unsatisfactory in that regard.

Works really well HOWEVER, you CANNOT purchase a new cover for this!!! It is impossible to wash without it shrinking. Ridiculous that you cannot even buy a replacement. BEWARE of this issue

This powerlifting backrest for the bed has been a godsend. My father has late stage Alzheimer’s and was having difficulty sitting up by himself with this. I am able to just push a button and it sits him upright and I’m able to get him in and out of bed easier it definitely saves on your back it’s very well made, and easy to set up. We did have to put a blanket between my dad in the back rest because the foam isn’t thick enough, but with the blanket, it was just the right amount and my father doesn’t complain about it hurting his back or anything.

It was perfect. My mom didn't have to buy a new bed. We just placed it on top of the existing bed. Did use a thin soft topper to make it more comfortable but she can now get out of bed by herself.

I was sleeping with 5 pillows behind me to help with my gerd problem. I wondered if anyone had invented something that would work for my own bed that would raise my head. I did not want to get rid of my own bed, which I like. I googled the question and came up with this result. There is one alteration I changed, because I am short waisted and my head only touched the bottom tip of the attached pillow. I simply added my own pillow, which is lower down, and it's working very well. Thank you for this affordable invention.
