I LOVE THESE THINGS SO MUCH. I saw some guy using them to draw and like any normal artist, i hunted him down to get the pen info. So flowy, rich, smooth. Anywho. Some very noteable things: Does NOT dry immediately. It takes a few seconds. The ink, since it’s thick and flowy, shows on the other side of thin papers such as regular lined, printer paper, etc. ( if you’re left- handed, this pen is not a good idea. ) I would definitely test it out on different surfaces first before doing a full blown essay or drawing. But i love them lots. And other people also have taken a liking to my pens. Its worth it. Trust

Pens write smoothly and don't bleed when not in use. I do a lot of writing, and these are my favorite. I have ordered multiple sets when I run out and have never been disappointed.

Great price for quality Japanese style needle point pens. Fine point, comfortable to use. I bought black and will buy again!

2nd UPDATE!!! In my first review, I gave these pens 5 stars and called them the "Best pens EVER!!!!" I absolutely loved the ultra-fine tip, the smooth flow of rich ink, and the fact that the ink didn't bleed through the pages of my sketchbooks. Unfortunately, that didn't last. When the first pen stopped writing, I reached for another... then another... and ran into the same problem. Several pens had clogged tips, skipped while writing, doodling, and sketching, and when I shook them to get the ink flowing again, some leaked. Oddly enough, after going through several pens, the next ones worked beautifully again—so well, in fact, that I ordered another set. When these pens work as intended, they truly are some of the best ultra-fine markers I've ever used. I use them not only for writing and journaling, but also for doodling and detailed sketching. The tips are fine enough that I can add tiny details to my drawings and design ideas, yet they still write beautifully without bleeding through my sketchbook pages. That's exactly why I wanted so badly to love this set. These are the best colorful pens I’ve ever used! The colors are so bright and vibrant, and they write incredibly smoothly. I absolutely love them and would definitely recommend them!

I have loved the Pilot V5s for years for the consistent smooth writing, size of the line, and over pen design, but they always struck me as overpriced - I'd only buy them on sale, which happens very infrequently. I have had quite a few explode or at least start leaking, and I've never been able to pin point why. I am the kind of person that lets my pens roll around in the bottom of my bag, but it seems like an airplane ride was the most common cause of V5 downfall. I have had a pack of these pens for about six months, rolling around in the bottom of my purse and work bag (despite my best efforts to keep them corralled in a pencil bag) and not a single one has exploded or started to leak! They are nearly identical in size of the barrel, so finger grip is the same with these as a V5 for me. I prefer the smooth plastic to a rubber grip. I do with they had less printing on the pen itself, but the aesthetics are the very last item that matters to me about a writing utensil. Ink seems to function just as well as a V5 as well, similarly low bleed through on the types of paper I use - these pens do not bleed through the crappy public school printer paper I often write on. Over all, identical to a Pilot V5 in every way that matters, and they appear to be more durable. I'm a convert.

I ordered these pens for use in my checkbook. I keep some items in red and others in blue. These pens bled through my check register and almost ruined it. I almost can't read what is written on the back of the register sheets. The ink is already leaking down to the tip. Just as another point this was a replacement delivery as the first package recieved was hair decorations but a refund was issued right away and I reordered them. Waited longer than anticipated and got something I really can not use as intended

Its a good pen but if you leave it upside down for too long the ink will flow down to the tip of the pen not a lot but only a little smudge.

Ok I have officially found my new favorite pen. It is perfect if you like a fine tip and quick drying ink. I'm left handed so I am not new to smudging the ink of pens that I use as I write. This is why I usually stay away from ink pens, but this one has solved that issue, I do not have a smudging issue with this pen at all!

Amazing pens! 100% recommended! Only flaw is that the cap doesn’t stick to the back of the pen when you write, it falls off or sticks loose. I haven’t lost a pen cap yet, but there’s potential.
