Works as well as it could
This is a review of Energy by Optimus Gas, 8oz.My recently acquired ultralight camping stove needed some fuel so I decided to give this a try.Perfect.I have used this in temperatures as low as 40 degrees and it works reliably. Since the stove has a big part in how you might assess fuel, it's difficult to say whether everyone will have the same experience using this. All I can say is that my stove which has a 1' hose/valve connected to the fuel perfectly. I got a consistent burn no matter what flame height I was using. Compared to some other fuels, this seemed reasonably priced. Based on my experience with this so far, I'd definitely buy again. My preference is to buy the 8 oz containers rather than the larger sizes. I'd rather carry several smaller canisters and distribute them among the camping party than just have one or two bigger canisters. In case there is a problem with one of them, I figure it's better to have a backup or two. You do have to buy from the right seller to get the best pricing.

I keep coming back for more
These are probably the best value in gas. This blend has served me well from winter in the sierras to high winds in desert of death valley. I've had 0 problems with any equipment that I've used with these cans. Optimus has some of the best quality to price ratios in the outdoor business. I have depended on these gas blends, I have bet my life on them, and they've never let me down.Edited to add: I still love these gas canisters, but I'm not sure what their composition is. I had a little trouble with one (for the first time) on a recent trip where the temperature was 5-10 degrees F, with winds on of 5-20mph, and constant snow fall. It was my fault for leaving this out for an hour or two while I was doing other things and getting the fire going--I know should have kept it warm between uses. But I think the MSR and Snowpeak gases work a little better in those conditions.

Good first impression on test
I received this in 10 days from Outfitter Country. It came in a padded envelope and wrapped in brown paper via USPS. The package was small enough to be left in a standard mailbox.I used the "Ultralight Backpacking Canister Camp Stove with Piezo Ignition 3.9oz" with it as a test. The stove threaded on to the top perfectly and I could not detect any leakage on the threading or un-threading.The base is 4.25" OD and the height is 4". This has a concave bottom and is aluminum. The protective plastic top is easily removable with the tab, but I doubt it will come off without being pulled on by hand. The flame on the stove was very blue and even though the canister was at about 40 degrees the pressure \ flame height through the stove was impressive. I estimate the flame at easily 5" on high.

Performs well, but overpriced.
Great gas, but way overpriced, I learn it hard way. At your local store you can buy one, not the same but comparable brand, for 3rd the price.

Decent fuel, temperature sensitive though.
I was able to boil numerous pots of water out of a single can. One can lasted my group of five people just over 3 days in conjunction with my optimus stove. Overall I think we must have boiled close to 15 liters from this one can. I did notice in the cooler mornings the flame output seemed sluggish compared to during the warmer afternoon and evening hours. Given that, I would suggest keeping the can warm overnight for better overall cooking efficiency.

Good cheap fuel for Jetboil
Much cheaper for allot of fuel compared to other brands, one thing to keep in mind, some Jetboils this will not fit in, it works great with my Zip, however when packing up it will not fit into the cup like the 4oz will (I got the 8oz bottle), so if you need the space, get the 4oz, but for longer trips I find a single 8oz to take up less space overall than two 4oz.

Quality?
Maybe mine wasn't full when I receive it or the valve malfunctioned. I only was able to use it once before the gas was gone.

Cooks real good and gets the flame really hot
Cooks real good and gets the flame really hot. This is a much larger canister than I was expecting and last a lot longer than I was expecting. Had it for about a year and not nearly done with it. If you were to use this for a long backpack trip, I would estimate it would last at least 2 weeks if you used it to cook three meals a day.
