very powerful duct fan that can move a lot of air, The variable speed knob helps regulate the air flow you want and is in general easy to use, Ive installed this blower inside a box I use to dry my fragile costume parts and it works very well though it can be a bit noisy.

I was working in a small space and my wife didn't want kids exposed to fiberglass dust and vocs. So I got this and a common collapsible duct, it worked and was cheap. It was running for 12hr sessions.

Quiet and effective.

The fan noise itself is extremely quite, but no matter what speed there is a whine from the motor. Going in the attic as a duct air booster so it is not likely to be anything I notice. Hopefully it will smooth out after running a few hours. I have had the 12" version of this fan running 80% of the time for the last 2 years with no issues at all.

worked as intended

I needed a quiet powerful fan solution for my shop's dust collector project, and this 6 inch duct fan worked perfectly with a high volume CFM air flow and quiet operation. I'm not using the fan as intended, but it works great inside my custom dust collector build and it generates enough air flow to do a great job pulling dust out of the air. If air movement is your goal, this product does the job at a great price.

Notice they do not allow returns, guess why they might expect you’ll return it. The fan performs poorly compared to competition. I ordered about ten fans and compared them all measuring noise, power consumption, wind speed, and static pressure with a partial constriction. This fan is noisier and uses more power than the competition, while not blowing as hard as competitors that use a similar amount of power, and is even somewhat noisy/whiner at reduced speeds. Choose a different fan. Manufacturer should allow returns if they stand by their product.

This model will put out an impresisve amount of air as advetised, is very lightweight, can be speed contolled, and is easily mounted. This is as far as the advertised features go as far as fact. The rest is a bold faced lie. The item clearly is advertised as 34db in noise(the baby sleeping picture). This is not even close. On low the fan puts out 52db and on high it puts out 71db. A 52db fan still puts out a good amount of air and would be tolerable if that 52db wasnt from an annoying electrical hum from the ac motor. Anything below aorund 60% speed and the hum is very noticable. This is due the the company no understanding basic principles of ac motor speed control. This is evident by the speed controller, which is just a basic, cheap, reostat. It just turns down the voltage to the motor creating the effect of slower speed. This is where the hum comes from. The speed controller knob is made so it sits crooked on the controller and the entire controller is blank from any markings indicating speed. I bought this mainly for the advetised low db. It is still better than what I was using before but I expect factual specs when I make a purchase.

Works as advertised. However, there is a small issue when blowing air through an filter which causes more resistance. Doing this on lowest speed setting will blow out the speed controller and thereby stop the fan from running at all. Not an issue for me as I was just running some tests.

Broke after 6 hours of normal use. Do not recommend.
