Perfect size, not so large that it will tire the hand while grinding.
I was so happy to find this set, I'm going to be mixing my own watercolor paints. It takes a nice rounded bottom pestle to perfectly grind pigments, and blend powdered binders. Very happy with the smaller hand sized pestle.I expect to get a lot of use from this set.
