Love love love it!
I'm really keen on combat/kickboxing style workouts and I've got the 10 minute solutions Kickbox Bootcamp, so when I saw there was a second workout of this type I had to purchase it - especially at this price! I love the combination of cardio & strength/toning and the combination of punches/kicks & routines. I think Jessica is a great instructor and really inspires; she seems to know what she's doing which I've found not all instructors doing combat style moves really do! I've got a few different workouts of this style and I have to say this is my favourite. Sometimes I find they can get a bit boring but this has a great range of moves and I found myself enjoying it throughout. I did the workout for the first time tonight and intended on doing 3 of the sections but I loved it so much I did all 5! I was so 'fired up' after that, that I then did one of the sections of the 10 minute solutions Butt Lift workout, which I bought at the same time! (another great and unique style workout) I'm feeling great and looking forward to doing this workout again soon. I managed to find some weighted gloves which they suggest, and used these for the workout which I really feel helped. The only one negative point I have, was that in one of the sections there was a cross diagonal punch combo which I just couldn't seem to master - everything else I managed to follow for the most part and I'm sure the second time around will be even easier. If you only buy one workout DVD this is the one to get!

great body workout
I bought this DVD because of some of the good reviews here. I've been doing it ever since I bought it (for 3 months now) and I still find it physically challenging. I bought this DVD together with Billy Blanks's Tae Bo double DVDs. But I find the later quite dull and I have only done it once. Even just watching it doesn't inspire me. I also don't like it when all you hear is the repeated countdowns - 8, 7, 6, 5, ... 1. And Billy doesn't do all the moves with you.Anyway, I used to love doing body combat at my gym and I did a lot of it before I quit going to the gym several years ago so this '10 minutes solution - knockout body workout DVD' wasn't too difficult for me pick up at the beginning, but stamina-wise, I found it hard going. The instructor is very supportive and encouraging. In fact, Jessica Smith is a really good instructor. She breaks down the moves - you do them slowly with her - and you do them with her a couple of times before the quick moves. Abs are not just doing situps. She's got several other ways to work on your abs and other areas and so they keep you interested. I usually start to sweat profusely within 20 minutes of doing this DVD. I highly recommend this DVD and think it especially suits people who've done body combat type of workout before and wanted to get back to it. It's definitely a great value for money.

A wicked workout!
I am a huge fan of 10MS, they manage to pack a compact but thorough workout into ten minutes and the presenters are likeable and have healthy, fit bodies which is much more motivating than a celeb who has starved themselves to a skeleton only to put the weight back on before you've completed your first workout: pI love kickboxing style workouts and have been using 10 Minute Solution - Kickbox Bootcamp [DVD ]which is also fantastic. This dvd is slightly easier than Kickbox Bootcamp, you don't need any weights but the presenter wears weighted gloves which I would like to do for a bit higher calorie burn. The moves are easy to follow and after a few goes I am now able to do the dvd without having to concentrate on direction etc. You do need a bit of room for some of the exercises but I do the dvd in a very limited space and just make use of the space I have got (there is one exercise where you punch and move sideways and then change direction to the front, I just go up and down!)Overall I would say if you like kickboxing type workouts and want something fun then this is the dvd for you. A really good workout routine would be to alternate with the bootcamp which uses weights as you can then work on fatloss and maintaining muscle.

Tricky but worth it
This DVD is quite hard, as the other reviews say. The first time I did it, I couldn't really keep up with the instructor and watched it going 'what on earth?' But the next day I tried again and found I could do a few more of the moves, and then a few days after that I could keep up with a few more.If you have the perseverance to stick at it, it gives a great work out. The sections are hard and leave me out of breath, especially the Abs one - my goal is to get all the way through that section without stopping!I don't have any previous experience of kickboxing so sometimes at the beginning i didn't know what a 'hook' was - but now I do. The instructor does go a bit fast at times, although I think that's due to the '10 minute' nature of the DVD. Overall she is motivating and friendly. Also some of the sections require more room than say, the pilates dvd does. You really just need enough space for two or three large steps to the right, left, forward and backward to be able to do all the sections.So overall I would say that if you want a challenging workout go for this dvd - don't be disheartened if you can't keep up at the beginning, just do what you can, stick at it, and you will progress with it. Now I can do most of the DVD I'm considering getting some weighted gloves to get an even harder workout :)

Macht Spaß
5 x 10 Minuten mag ich sehr gerne, da ich je nach Tagesform nur eines oder mehrere der Programme mitmachen kann. Die Trainerin ist sympathisch und natürlich. Die Übungen teils richtig anstrengend. Meine Lieblingsteile sind die letzten beiden, die sehr auf Balance und Bauchstraffung abzielen. Doch es sind alle fünf ok.

Jessica Smith - consistent, fun and good workouts
I have another of her 10 minute solution dvds (boot camp) and Jessica is nothing if not creative with her workouts. I will say right away that I do not believe you can actually stay fully fit and/or aim to lose weight with 10 minutes a day (your body has barely warmed up), so make sure you do at least 4 if not all 5 workouts on any 10 minute solution dvd to get the most of them.I do this dvd with 3 lb regular hand weights; you might not find the weighted gloves she uses, so just wear workout gloves with small hand weights so they don't slip from your grip. 1-3lbs is just fine for the pace of the workout. Anything higher and you should be very strong to carry more in an aerobic pace.This is a fun, chellenging and creative dvd, and Jessica takes traditional punches and kicks but gives them great adaptations to rev things up and move you around. You will really enjoy her presonality and natural commentary, especially her count ins and outs. She has excellent form to help you know how the move should be done. The music is lovely; bright and energetic without a heavy beat.Enjoy this one!!

Absolutely Fabulous!
Now owning 13 of the 10 Minute Solutions workout DVDs, I think it's fair to say I'm very happy with my training library and this latest addition is absolutely fantastic. Jessica Smith is one of the best instructors I've worked with, as she not only encourages but uses different ways to motivate, by mixing up what she says while taking you through the set, including imagining yourself swimsuit ready all year round, throwing out snappy phrases to keep you going until the end of the reps, 'finish strong!' and informing you of the health and science part behind the moves, in such a way that I found my determination to succeed doubled. She's friendly and knowledgeable without being overly perky and annoying, so repeat sessions won't be a problem.I like that Jessica wears the exact same gloves that come with the DVD and not a modified version. Sometimes, if there is anything even slightly different about the kit, say a different colour, you can wonder if you are getting the same workout, but not here! I agree with the previous reviewer about having 'Kickbox Cross-Train' playing first as the 4 basic arms moves are demonstrated in this section: jab, cross-punch, upper-cut and hook-punch, but it plays 2nd from last if you choose the 'Play All' option. If I'm doing all 50 minutes, I tend to programme it so I do 30 minutes of cardio first, then upper body, closing with abs. Although all the sections are cardio intense, and there is a surprising amount of lower body work too. All the workouts are based on the principal of interval training, so plenty of metabolism raising moves, incorporating fat attacking steps, strength training with plenty of sculpting and toning too - what more could you ask for! Plus, there are some inventive routines and excellent transitions between repetitions, so you don't get bored, it's all kept really fresh.My only minor quibble is the loss of the minute timer on my DVD player when programming my workout as opposed to using the 'Play All' feature, which does have a timer. When exercising to my other 10 Minutes Solution DVDs using the 'Create your own Workout' option, my player displays a timer for each section, which I find really useful. For instance, if I glance across and see that 3 minutes have gone by, I know where I am in the routine, what's coming up next and how far I've got to go - and this comes in really handy when doing the very intense 'Blast off Belly Fat' and 'Quick Tommy Toners' workouts. With this DVD, a rather unhelpful 'Play' is displayed, but it's not a major issue, I've just got used to being able to see exactly where I am at any given point.Overall, a challenging cardio workout, that will get you sweating and with the use of light weighted gloves, you'll see accelerated results - very highly recommended!

まず、キックボクシング系のエクササイズですが、あまりキックはありません…笑部屋も少し広くないと出来ません。ドタバタするので、戸建て以外では無理かな。10分×5つのエクササイズが入ってます。私はフルでやる事はあまりありませんが、使い易いので重宝してます。

Tolles Cardio-Workout, super Preis-Leistung
Ein tolles Cardio-Workout zu einem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Angesichts des Preises kann man mit dieser DVD nichts falsch machen. Es empfiehlt sich allerdings, sich zuvor mit den Grundschritten des Kickboxing / Tae Bo vertraut zu machen, da diese nicht erklärt werden. Trotz englischer Sprache kann man den Übungen leicht folgen. Sie sind auch nicht zu anspruchsvoll. Wenn man alle 5 Einheiten nacheinander macht, hat man ein schönes Ganzkörper-Workout. Alternativ kann man einzelne Einheiten auch als Ergänzungen zu anderen Trainings, z.B. als Warm-Up oder zusätzliches Bauchtraining machen. Toll ist auch, dass man die Reihenfolge der Einheiten im Menü nach eigenen Wünschen zusammen stellen kann.Den Punktabzug gebe ich für das fehlende / deutlich zu kurze Stretching am Ende jeder Einheit. Schade, dass die 10 Minute Solution DVDs keine separate Warm-Up- bzw. Stretching-Einheit enthalten.
